Then, Mr Newman, you have no standing to comment on it without showing yourself to be an ignorant fool.

      "They count on that"

Oh sweet Moses, dude. Who is that guy? He makes Cavuto look genuine by comparison, always chomping at the bit to throw his sniveling bit into the morning show cavalcade of garbage.

Yes, random Fox "News" Channel suit, if you insist, sometimes we do count on the fact that you will remain willfully clueless no matter how many times you've been demonstrably wrong.

What, are you kidding me? I'm Rick Newman, I don't read whole speeches. Four score and seven years ago? Get to the point already. And I have a dream? Blah, blah, blah. Stop repeating yourself. Like I said, who reads whole speeches?

I you don't take the time to read the entire speech then you really should not be commenting...but then Fix News looks for these type of people to do commentary...both he and Fux are idiots!

Nothing surprising about this as we live in a media culture that glorifies ignorance and the all-important 30 soundbite (or is it soundbyte???). No wonder we have so many ill-informed and intellectually lazy people these days and that is a shame considering we live in a time where access to information has never been the greatest.

Never heard of this clown. I don't expect to be hearing much more from him, given his lack of journalistic skills.

      Next.

The sad thing is, you don't even need to read the WHOLE speech. I've read about three paragraphs of it and it's clear to me that there's not one bit of racism in the remark that they keep repeating.

Gee, that's the same attitude republicans used when discussing Obama's stimulus package. And then when it was all done, they sat around crying something about not having enough time to read it. Maybe next time Obama needs to release a copy in the form of a pop up book...

Although it's not surprising that journalists don't actually do their job when commenting and reporting on this story and "read the whole speech" as well as research the full context of what the speech was about, it is a bit surprising that this dolt would admit, to a national audience basically, "Hey, I'm a journalist, but why should I go and actually research a topic fully before I comment or report on it when I can just be a lazy jerk and spout anything I feel like spouting."

If you ask me, his comments should be ample evidence enough for protesters to go out there and DEMAND that U.S. News & World Report fire him IMMEDIATELY. He's basically just admitted to ethics violations. For it is UNETHICAL to write, comment, or report on a subject that you haven't fully researched to the best of your ability. There could be no defense whatsoever of him saying he hasn't read the full speech. It's not like the speech was hundreds of pages long. It is actually rather short compared to many speeches.

Just another example of how our media has become so disgusting it's beyond words.
