I'm waiting to hear Keith Olbermann's comments about Bill O'Reilly's role in contributing to the atmosphere that resulted in Dr Tiller's murder.

Because make no mistake, Bill has blood on his hands for repeatedly inciting others, for years, to take action and put a stop to the doctor.

If we allow Dr. George Tiller and his acolytes to continue, we can no longer pass judgment on any behavior by anybody.

What Tiller is doing is that bad. And that's the Memo.

      I'll second your opinion dimes...

For what its worth... what exactly is the misinformation here?

I admit that having that caption is a bit tasteless, if it is anything, it shows the lack of understanding that the corporate owned media has toward real journalism. But I don't see misinformation nor a distortion of facts... just bad taste in background choice.

I don't think it is misinformation as much as it is labelling. Dr Tiller did more than perform abortions, but it was that part of his practice that got him killed.

I expect we'll be seeing the clip of Megyn Kelly soon. She addressed the murder this morning and had on an attorney who immediately started the 'blame the victim' game.

Fox news is in an uncomfortable position here, because it has devoted so much airtime over the past few years to vilifying Dr Tiller. Their balancing act in reporting on his murder will be interesting to observe.

I agree it's a bit puzzling for MMtv to call out MSNBC for doing what every other news organization is doing.

It's tasteless to be sure, but the misinformation here might be epic understatement. Normally when you say that a particular group of people is "under fire" you don't mean that someone is literally SHOOTING AT THEM.

(Unless, of course, you're talking about soldiers in battle, but there's a vastly different context there.)

The first thing that went through my mind yesterday when I heard about this was Coulter's comment a few weeks back about 'Tiller the Baby Killer'. I don't quite understand why this post is here though.

        "Abortion Doctors Under Fire"

I think it's here because Tiller was not more than one doctor.

I was thinking about that report from a few months back about right wing terrorists in the US. You remember, the one that rightwingers got all up in a hissy fit about? Based on this murder, looks like that report was spot on...

This is just more proof that: Conservatism = terrorism

Looks like that DHS report was spot on. Once again, reich-wingers are on the wrong side of facts and reality.

You especially gotta love the right-wing terrorist m.o. of shooting people in churches, too (compare the incident at the Unitarian church in Tennessee last year). Talk about showing the true extent of their commitment to the values of faith.

Abortion doctors aren't "under fire". They are BEING MURDERED. Under fire is slang for VERBAL assaults, not being shot dead as you are walking into a church. Way to understate the story, you silly midday bint.
