O'Reilly 2006 anti-Tiller rant: "[I]f I could get my hands on Tiller -- well, you know. Can't be vigilantes. Can't do that. It's just a figure of speech."
From the November 6, 2006, broadcast of Westwood One's The Radio Factor with Bill O'Reilly:
O'REILLY: This is a human rights issue. Can you imagine impregnating a 10-year-old, 11-year-old, 12-year-old, and the abortion clinic doesn't turn the information over to the authorities? Can you imagine? Because there's nothing gonna happen to the, you know, girl. She's gonna be interviewed. And if she's living in a home with a father --
E.D. HILL (co-host): Right.
O'REILLY: -- or an uncle who would do that, you're gonna keep her in that home?
HILL: Well, and the woman said most of the times, these are repeat offenders. Well, OK --
O'REILLY: Yeah.
HILL: -- even more of a reason that you need to --
O'REILLY: But that's OK with her because it's all theory. It's all theory with her. You see? It doesn't matter. And I'll tell you what: Even if you walked her through it, if you made her stay in the room while Tiller took the baby out and drilled a hole in its head, she wouldn't change. Wouldn't change. Would retreat back into the world of theory, reproductive rights, [unintelligible] funding, eh duh deh, buh boo buh bah buh bah. And that's where we are in America. Not everybody is like that. Most people believe the way I believe. I know that. All the polls show that. But the powers that be, the courts, the media -- oh, the media. I can't tell you how despicable I think The Kansas City Star and The Wichita Eagle -- those are the two main ones. I can't tell you.
Let me just read you one thing before we take a break. I'm gonna take your phone calls. This is from the Associated Press. This is Associated -- no, this Kansas City Star, Kansas City Star. Quote: "O'Reilly said on the program that a source told his show that abortion providers were performing late-term abortions because the women were depressed, a mental health risk he deemed insufficient."
"He deemed insuff"-- this is David Klepper, Kansas City Star. You see? "O'Reilly deemed it. Who's O'Reilly?" "He deemed."
OK. So, I'm the fascist, I'm the bad guy, I'm the problem. Not Tiller. No, he -- no, no, no. He's a good guy. Now, Tiller's pumping all kinds of money into obviously the attorney general race. He wants the guy that's gonna let him off the hook to win. Those of you listening in Kansas, you ought to know that. You know, I don't -- I'm not gonna tell you who to vote for. You guys know these guys better than I do, but I tell you what, anything Tiller wants, I'm voting the other way. And if I could get my hands on Tiller -- well, you know. Can't be vigilantes. Can't do that. It's just a figure of speech.
But despicable? Oh, my God. Oh, it doesn't get worse. Does it get worse? No. Back with your calls and comments.

Contrary to media hype, Sarah Palin is very unpopular

But the truth is, BOR publicized the guy and incited an immense amount of hatred towards him. If that's not shared culpability, then there is no such thing.
However, my comment about the public condemnation of O'Reilly's role in the doctor's assassination stands. And I'm talking 2009.

Dear Bill O'Reilly:
Now that the man you dubbed "Tiller the baby killer" has been murdered in church, have you any regrets about your campaign against George Tiller and your repeated portrayal of the doctor as a murderer on the loose?
Sincerely,
"Do you think that your strong language against the doctor might have inspired this kind of hatred and retribution?"
And I'm not surprised Juan Williams is taking time to talk about what a great, misunderstood man Loofah Bill is. "You've never incited violence, you've never told people to blockade a clinic." I am surprised he found time between getting Bill's drycleaning and holding the camera for Jesse Watters to actually appear on screen, however.
Or if you could get your hands on bin Laden?
Bill's the go to guy if you need someone who "wants' to get his hands on someone.
Yet he had the chance to get his hands on some VC and NVA but had other priorities.
He does talk a good game though.
O'Racist and the inbred hicks at Fox have even MORE blood on their hands. You teabagging terrorists (looking at you faillibrul) that worship this loser are pathetic and your apologies for O'Racist are embarrassing. You are terrorists....this is a fact.
The guy who killed Dr. Tiller is a terrorist and anyone who provides cover or excuses or explains the reasoning for the terrorist act is the same as those who cover for Islamic terrorists.
After all, you're either with us or against us. And O'Reilly and his ilk have chosen their side.
Funny thing, though, Bill Ayers hasn't done anything that one could classify as terrorism in a couple of generations. The guy that shot Dr Tiller in a church while Tiller was an usher is clearly a terrorist, but she can't bring herself to call him one. Since when is it okay to take the law into your own hands and murder someone for providing a lawful medical procedure, Sarah? How is that NOT terrorism?
This one has sent him into ecstasy.
Nothing could possibly making him happier. He can't even pretend to be outraged he's so happy. Like Harvey Korman trying to hold back from laughing in a Carol Burnette skit.
Inquiring minds want to know.
Do you have any references to living people?
Are you trying to be some low rent version of Dennis Miller with your senior citizen references?
So predictable for Hoosier, attack the messenger and defend her favorite subject, Bill O'Reilly, at every opportunity. Nothing could possibly make her happier. She can't even pretend to be outraged over O'Racist's blood on his hands, instead, you attempt to attack posters. How typical of you teabagging terrorist scumbags. Keep obsessing over me and ignoring your defense of terrorists and terrorism. You disgust me.
Reminds me of the creeps who used to attack me rather than attacking what I said - creeps who seem to have folded up their tents since the new format has been in existence, so maybe MMfA got wise to their multiple sockpuppets!
He purposely misconstrued the laws in Kansas and did not give a full accounting because it interferred with his narrative. O'Reilly is what has become of the Republican party. He is shameless and cowardly. He also plays the bravado, macho anti-terrorist until it comes to homegrown terrorists in our own country. Them - he incites.
And he incites them for the lowest common demoninator - the worst of all possible reasons. He does it for the same reason that "fair"-liberal and other sycophants constantly defend him...for the ratings and for the money.
