Stop wetting your pants, Glenn. Even those who are "human" can check facts and know what they're talking about before going on the air.

I think this man is really, truly, insane.

Now, he's quoting some ridiculous article from Pravda? Are you kidding me?
        Talk about "dumbed down."

It's not an article -- it's a blog entry by Stanislav Mishin that was reproduced for the English language Pravda website. One wonders if Beck agrees with the rest of what Mr. Mishin wrote in that piece, including this gem:

"Senator Barney Franks [sic], a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. "

As Mr. Beck says, he's human, and he makes mistakes. I just wish for once he would apologize for his mistakes. For instance, it might be nice for Mr. Beck to apologize for devoting time on his show to the opinions of Stanislav Mishin, a shamelessly homophobic blogger who takes pride in Russia's refusal to be tolerant of homosexuals.

Beck: "I'm human, so are you."

Well Glenn, I look at the screenshot above -- and I'm not so sure.

      About you, that is.

It makes me picture Beck in a family comedy featuring an alien being sent to Earth to collect information, and imitating a dog when it's the first living thing he sees.

I look at him and one line comes to mind:

            "Danger, Will Robinson!!"

          Throw him a scooby snack.
If they ever try to do it with a live cast, he has my vote.

Is MediaMatters honestly reporting this? Beck is wrong on being human? How far this once real media watchdog has fallen.

I missed the part where MMFA disputes Beck's membership in the human race. Could you point it out?

        Are you being deliberately obtuse?

The "human" part is the least important facet of this item and is clearly not MMFA's point of conention.

        1) Media Matters is specifically mentioned. That alone gives MMFA license to write about it.

        2) Glenn Beck is citing Pravda...Pravda!

If being human means having faults and frailties then, yes, Glenn Beck is more human than most. Glenn Beck's primary human frailty is that he's freakin' crazy. But on FOX, that means big bucks...

It always amuses me when Beck goes into one of his "I'm not aligned with either party" bits. It seems he's 95% ranting wingnut and 5% staunch independent.

Oh, and Pravda Online really has precious little to do with the Pravda of the Soviet era. It is more a Murdoch style tabloid.

He's not fooling anybody when it comes to who he's aligned with and who he's speaking to.

If you're anything like me, part of the attraction to MMtv is checking in and commenting on what the idiots on Fox are saying. But Fox is not the media---far from it. It is a small cable outlet that spews its own brand of hate day in and day out. It does not speak to or for the vast majority of Americans.

I think that we, by paying attention to it, might be giving it more power and legitimacy than it deserves. People like Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly are not concerned about this country, they are concerned about fattening their wallets no matter what the cost to everyone else.

What I'd like to see Media Matters try as an experiment over the summer is focusing more on the MSM. There's enough wrong with the MSM without giving it a pass by making it look good in comparison to Fox.

Who knows, it might be a nice summer break to ignore the loons for a couple of months and carefully examine that part of the media most Americans rely on for their information.

Maybe, but by simply watching a clip on the internet, we are not being exposed to his sponsors.

Is it not possible that Fox, quite simply, actually is the worst offender when it comes to media misinformation?

So if Beck claims the misinformation that has been posted on MMFA to be "mistakes" - then what is Glenn Beck doing on national TV with his own show?

      MM,
I wouldn't really call that lashing out; If anything that was more of a snap. AND glenn beck being snippy with people who call him on his BS isn't always worth the space it takes up on your website.
