And Pat Buchanan has a long history of making stuff up and lying through his teeth. Guess that's why he and Nixon got along so well.....

Is there a psychologist in the house?

What I mean is, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I've noticed a disturbing tendency of those on the Right to indulge in mindreading. Here Buchanan says what Ms. Sotomayor "believes," even though she's never verbalized that belief.

I saw the same distressing tendency in Tommy for years. Nowadays "fairliberal" is the most egregious offender.

It just seems to me that if you deal with facts, you don't need to pretend to know what the other side believes.

Ah, so there it is in a nutshell. She upheld the legal law of the land rather than legislate from the bench and rule against AA law. I thought the right were against "activist judges" legislating from the bench?

Pat is irrelevant - not because he is a white male, but because he is an idiotic white male.

      Dear Mr. Buchanan:

Recently, you said the Judge Sotormayor has a long record of discriminating against the white man.

      Prove it.

      Put up, or STFU!

      Best Regards,

When Sotomayor inevitably gets confirmed, I wouldn't be surprised if Buchanan did that trademark "grumpy, fearful old bigot" facial expression so hard his face collapsed upon itself. MMfA, PLEASE make sure you post footage of that.

Am I the only person to see that the assumption made by the old white guys on the right including Buchanan, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck and Rove

is that because THEY would discriminate, how is it possible that someone who is NOT like them would NOT discriminate? In their minds it's inconceivable that Sotomayor wouldn't discriminate.

They are literally projecting their prejudices.

(full disclosure, I'm an old white guy on the left)

Wow...this comes from the same Buchanan who wrote in his recent book that slavery was a great thing for Africans who were enslaved by the white masters because it brought them to America (he somehow forgot that African slaves were enslaved all over the world) and gave them Christianity. Now he has the nerve to cry about the poor white man being "allegedly" discriminated against?

Wow she's human,,(and Latina)you mean to tell me Mr.Buchanan that she doesn't always rule in what you percieve as fair.
Should all judges rule in what Patty boy constitutes as justice?

You mean when Sotomayor only ruled in favor of the plaintiff, out of 50 discrimination cases, only 3 times, with all three of those being unanimous?

Or when Sotomayor ruled in favor of a white NYPD officer's racist speech?
