the "terorist wing of the christian right" don't do one millionth of what the islamo terrorists do. yeah i can't stand the wacko christions either, but i don't think they have beheaded anyone in the last couple of hundred years or the disgusting treatment of women that has been going on.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I figure you're going to have to repeat about 10,000 years or so. You've taken a lot of ignorance upon yourself, and you'd better get learning if you want to spare yourself a thousand years or so.

            Although to counter that:

Those who know their history sometimes would like to recreate it.

excuse me what does the christian church who did atrocities against people a several hundred years ago do with a different religions barbaric tactics of today. your "learning" tells you defend islam and attack chritianity. myself i find all religions pretty silly. but in the present, facts are facts.

While we're angering people, I propose that the predominantly Third World status of Muslim nations has more to do with culture and circumstances of history than religion. If you look at history, "Christian" nations were just as barbaric seven or eight hundred years ago.

I think a case could be made that Western Civilization and Christianity tamed each other to some extent. Even though several modern Islamic countries are awash in oil money, their lopsided cultures concentrate all that wealth in the hands of a very few, leaving the bulk of their populations living in poverty. This is a recipe for misery and brutality, regardless of the majority religion.

Actually most of the current and recent "third" world is Christian: Central & Saouth America, Phillipiines, Eastern Europe... For as bad as the standard of living might be, most of the middel east are among the richest contries in the world. Which exposes an interesting trait of Rush'd logic: He seems to care more about the ploght of 'the little guy' in the middle east than he does for 'the little guy' in America! Rich guy in America? Love him. But the Rich Guys in the middle east? VILE SCUM!

He says that as the most notable act of terrorism in the news these days was committed by a white fundamentalist Christian.

well to some... to others it was the Muslim guy who killed the soldiers and they'd have a point but my larger point would be that terrorism has no religious or political boundaries.

His goal was to intimidate other doctors from performing the same procedures. That is the textbook definition of terrorism.

Sorry, you are wrong yet again.

*sigh* OK. Yet another con needs this explained to the in small words. No... If I kill a guy becuase I find him bed with my wife, or because I'm tealing thier wallet, I have ONE VICTIM. If I kill someone because they're GAY, then I am trying to send a message to ALL GAYS. That's a hate crime / terrorism. And Tiller's murderer was clearly trying to do not only that, but to effect political change as well. (Another goal that defines terrorism as it related to violent crime.) Are you just sleepy today, or do you always eschew reason?

I'm confused. How can the Great Gasbag think going back to the 7th century is so bad when he's living in the 5th century?

Islam is "most known" for its "terrorist wing"

Due in no small part to Rush and other right wing talkers and their daily rhetoric.

The right specializes in fear and demonizing groups, blacks, gays, immigrants, etc.

Without all of their talk we might actually get things accomplished

I'm just waiting for the next Crusades to happen though Bush had his own little Jihad going on. Tiller's killer displayed textbook terrorism because guess what now all abortion doctors are hiring extra security and the religious right has already been terrorizing through trying to bully someone who is legally doing their job. Constant standing outside someone's house and place of work is an intimidation tactic which is key in terror.

Limbaugh's statement is like saying Christianity is best known by the crusades.I think its really most famous for being stuffed down the throat of anyone darker than a paper bag who didn't believe in God
