Pres. Obama is more or less an Israel defender but he is not an in your face, my way or the highway kind of guy and that is a big reason the Muslim world is going to give Obama a new slate with which to work...

My personal theory is that the louder the right-wing corporate owned media gets about anything Pres. Obama does, the more I have to believe that he is doing the correct thing.

This Middle East visit is a perfect example of that.

So this Crowley person is implying President Obama is not a supporter of Israel? What an idiotic assertion to make.

Yes - heaven forbid that a U.S. president support Israel, yet hold them accountable for a portion of the peace process. Crowley is bordering on being an exclusive reporter for Lou Dobbs with this kind of "impartial" reporting.

The Middle East visit is perfect - while a miracle cannot be expected from a speech or a trip, this hopefully will be a productive first step in a new paradigm for relations between the US and the Muslim world. I just had a really stupid thought - if they know we're working WITH them rather than trying to kill them, maybe they could HELP us locate and take care of terrorists, rather than sit on the sidelines and mock us.

        I know it's crazy. Sorry...

Please prove that President Obama does not defend Israel.

Too bad the teabagging reich-wing terrorists didn't love America like they love Israel.

Of all the descriptive terms that come to mind when I think of Numbnuts Bush, "Stalwart Defender of Israel" is not near the top of the list.

I would also bet that it is not the primary reason he was so detested in the Muslim World... just a hunch.

Monica, you should have just stopped right there; you'd have been spot on. Actually, that's Obama's biggest advantage with ANYONE . . .

As a Republican myself, not a neo-con, I for one would be very supportive of a President that treated both Palestinian's AND Israeli's equally. If that is where Obama is heading, I am going to like him a great deal and will vote for him for a second term. I doubt it though. Once AIPAC gets involved, Obama might end up being like Bush in regards to Israel.
