C'mon, really, when are we gonna get a gallup poll that asks if the republican party promotes racism?

From the "independent" perspective as Dobbs puts it. I am amazed at how many friends of mine are fooled by Dobbs.

I blame our continually failing school system for breeding now two generations of mindless Americans. Americans WANT to be brainwashed because they are inherently lazy.

What is it with these guys. They've got to know they are simply spilling bullsh*t. A president reach out to the brothers and sisters of this big spinning rock? How dare he? How can the USA be NUMBER ONE if we desire peace. How can we scare people, up to and including our own citizens. There is no satisfaction in leading people by their fears, BushieCo proved it.

      Go retire, old man.

O'Reilly sure is concerned about Obama 'apologizing'. He says that Obama has done it 'enough', and that Obama has no reason to do it again in front of an entirely new audience in his first visit to the Muslim world.

What kind of fantasy world do these two men live in that it's unimportant to mention in one's speeches the things that are important to the people you are directing that speech towards?

I've heard of 'straw polls', but this is clearly a 'strawman poll'. It would be like having a poll question as follows: "Do you think the fascism in the cold black heart of every Republican makes America a better or worse country?"

Yea, a better question would be: Are you tired of the President of the United States saying that we have been arrogant around the world and exploitative to our own "less fortunate" and that the rich and powerful (except of course liberals) have not earned their wealth and built the greatest nation in history but have stolen every thing they have from the poor, minorities and other countries.

        Yes.

I apologise to my children for letting the looter liberals into power. We should have stood up when W. started it.

Neal Boortz has a good line in one of his books. The rich keep on getting richer because they keep doing the things that make them rich. Ditto for the poor.

The best question would be "is GalaHGL another in a long list of teabaggers who now hate democracy because it didn't require a supreme court decision to keep them in power and are reduced to making strawman complaints to assuage their inner pain?"

I prefer Struassian as a term right now.
From TheraP via an item in the Oxdown Gazette section.
From Princeples 101 I'd say GalaHGL is following these princples.
1 Noble lie, in the sumation of american capitalism he brought forth. The last paragraph sets in nicely as well here.
            2. Fear of the masses and democracy. They and it have somehow failed him and his children.
            3. Instilling a sense of superiority in a nation. Re para#1 "the greatest nation in history."
            4. Comtempt for dissenters. Para#1 covers that pretty well also.
            5. Fear- greatest ally of tyranny. The looter liberals are in power so he and his theoretical children are doomed!
Five out of thirteen princeples in such a short space. If he'd brought up religion and an external threat it could have been a higher score with very little effort on his part.
            My questions would be be.
            1. What in particular out of all the things that shrub started are you refferring to? Or what things? Take your time here, we ain't running away suddenly, never to return.
            2. How would standing up in the singular, or pural instances have altered things?
            3. How would this posture change have accomplished this?

              1. The things shrub started hat I'm referring to is the auto bailouts and TARP.
              2. Standing up in a large plurality stopped bush's amnesty plan for illegal aliens. unfortunatly we weren't loud enough to stop bailouts and TARP.
              3. what posture change are you talking about?

My principles that I believe government should be run by come from the following: The Declaration of Independance, The Contitution, and the writings of the founding fathers. In particular, The Federalist Papers and The Complete Anti-Federalist.

I don't hate democrcy. I'm just saddened that the American people decided to put an admitted Marxist into the most powerful post in the world. I am assuaging my pain by doing my part to ensure that this never happens again.
I voted Kerry in '04. So don't give me this hate democracy crap. I vote for whom I think will do the best job defnding the constitution and Barrack Obama is not it.

              You hate democracy.

By calling Obama a marxist, you hate democracy.

By saying a former consitutional scholar won't defend the consititution, you hate democracy.

By telling us you voted for Kerry in '04 means that you don't support rogue wars and idiots in the White House, but I couldn't care less. Who'd you vote for in '08? Gramps and the Dimwit?

She has destroyed her credibility right at the get go.

The rich keep getting rich on the backs of the poor and the middle class. It'd be better for America if the rich didn't get any richer until the middle class and the poor were better off. America is not here to make the rich richer, dumbass.

Wrong. The rich pay the middle class and any one who wants a job. America is here to give every one equal opportunity to become rich and successful. Boortz's line is perfectly true. It would be better off for America if every one took some personal responsibility for their own success and failures and quit looking to the government to solve every "crisis" that comes along. Because it is not Obama's responsibility. That is what individual liberty is all about. That is the purpose of The Constitution. To protect individual liberty from those who would take it, especially government.

Contrition is a powerful tool, both personally and as a nation. Unfortunately, egos usually keep people from being contrite when contrition is the best strategy. Thankfully, Obama understands how to undo the horrible damage Bush and his band of criminals did to this country. He's off to a good start.

You can shove your apologies up your @$$. My brother died because he believed in what we we're doing. You can talk to any of the millions of veterans if they need an apology for any thing they went through. my guess is you'll get your butt kicked lot.

You don't know me from Adam and you don't know any thing about how this country was founded, the principles that have made it great, or the manner in which it is now being deconstructed. I didn't agree with the move into Iraq, which is why I'm proud he died in Afganistan. He signed up on sept 12, 2001. You can go straight to hell.

Maybe a world leader showing "humility" and making apologies impresses people in a Western country where such behaviours are considered "virtues" - but you really should understand that this is a peculiarly Christian viewpoint, and it is certainly NOT seen positively in the Middle East! It is viewed as a sign of weakness - a truly "dhimmi" (subservient, second-class-citizen, "infidel") mentality! At first I thought your President just didn't understand that, but now, after watching his behaviour toward Islamic rulers, and considering his upbringing as an "outsider" in a Muslim environment, I realize that he truly IS a "dhimmi"! Yes, he is gracious, eloquent and well-mannered, but on his "tours", he is constantly showing obsequious deference to oil-sheiks and tyrannical princes - not the way to gain their respect! But this is his personality, shaped by his early experiences... I fear for you, America! Don't be surprised if his soothing words are taking as a "KICK ME" sign on the back of a young victim of bullying!
