I can understand the words that are coming out of the white lady's mouth - don't agree with her at all - but I can at least follow along with what she's saying. But the fat white dude has got to take the pork chop out of his mouth an learn to enunciate. That boy has a serious McRib problem.

Nice that Rush and his idiot caller could lump all minorities into one group for the purpose of this conversation.

right on!!! I think they picked up that lumping move from the people who said that all the tea party protesters were racists. or maybe it was from the people who said during the presidential election that any one who referred to Obama's middle name or to his Muslim roots were all racists...

"...or maybe it was from the people who said during the presidential election that any one who referred to Obama's middle name or to his Muslim roots were all racists..."

Wow, you want to revisit that losing argument again? Sure, be my guest. After all, it was so effective in the 2008 election.

First of all, I'm unaware of any person of note who argued seriously that any reference to Hussein or any reference to Obama's background was necessarily racist. That, you see, would be an unfair generalization.

There were, however, specific instances of media figures, such as Ann Coulter in this clip, who clearly did mean to call attention to Obama's middle name as a symbol of foreignness.

As for his "Muslim roots"... Hold on. Specifically, to what "Muslim roots" would you be referring? You mean his childhood when he attended a Madrassa? Oh, wait, that's right, that was a thoroughly debunked story. Perhaps you mean his Muslim father? The one who had become an atheist by the time he met Obama's mother?

But if you truly think generalizations are unfair, then by all means, let's address specific issues. Why, perhaps we could even discuss the specific topic of this thread, Rush Limbaugh and his comments.

The lack of self-awareness here is stunning, if not surprising. The right has been using anger and demonization for decades, in and out of power. Now they've gone hysterical (and murderous) with it, but are projecting onto the left. Sad, really.

And these "people" claim Sotomayor is a "racist"? Seriously?

Well, conservatives define "racist" as "a minority who doesn't have the same agenda as me".

Hilarious that one of Limpdog's dittobots would actually accuse someone else of using anger to push an agenda...while she's on the phone with the Moby Dick of Angry White Men.

Finally Rush says that all minorities are angry....how racist can you be....They just can't fathom that a minority can get anywhere in life on their own. I'm tired of the angry ethnic stereotype because even how ramped racism still is today most ethnics will hate your guts for being racist but will put on a smile until you leave.

If you read your history books certain groups of people always put the angry savage term on ethnics....this is angry savage talk 2009.

Limbaugh once again labels minorities. I wouldn't be surprised if he called them Nazis in the near future. So basically he is saying, his good friend Clarence Thomas, was an angry minority that only got to where he is at because of anger, as well as Michael Steele.. I hope he knows that there are people of color is his party, and he goes and says something as stupid as this.

Well, Republicans ARE a minority these days, and darn if they're not pretty honked off - the whiniest whining minority there ever was, in fact.

Erm one tiny little itsy bitsy mini-question, lady:

If, as you insist, one cannot get ticked off and succeed in business, then how pray tell can minorities get ahead by being ticked off?

These arguments of theirs never make any sense at all. I don't think they even try to. This is what happens when you work back from the answer you want to ask the "theoretical" question.

"Minorit[ies]" use anger to be successful: "This is pretty good"
I don't really think that is how it works. In Limbaugh we have a case in which a slothful, resentful, drug-addled, lazy, lump of a sociopathic parasite has used stupidity to be successful. And it's spreading like a wildfire. If a virus were as contageous as Limbaugh's ignorance of reality the CDC would declare a public health emergency.

      Universal irony:

That overstuffed, misogynistic, KKK-ist, hippo-critic, seditionist, Rush Limbaugh, might be interested to learn that one of the official languages in parts of Africa is LIMBA! (Sierra Leone and Guinea).

Limba,East: North central. Alternate names: Yimba, Yumba. Dialects: Northern Limba (Warawara, Ke-Woya-Yaka), Southern Limba (Biriwa-Saroko-Kalantuba-Sunko). Classification: Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Atlantic, Southern, Limba
Limba,West-Central: Population includes East Limba. North central area north of Makeni. Alternate names: Yimba, Yumba. Dialects: Western Limba (Tonko, Sela), Central (Tamiso, Gbongogbo). Classification: Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Atlantic, Southern, Limba

That has to be a hater's worst nightmare - being connected to the very object of his hate. Not only are the majority of the native speakers of Limba's lingo predominately NON-whites, but many are practioners of Islam. That's right! In parts of Africa Limba is synonomous with DARK skin and MUSLIM faith!

Much like that ignorant, ubber-right, anti-choice, Palin, having to explain the pregnancy of her own unwed teenage daughter, THIS is what I call "poetic irony."

Complaining about people using anger as a tool to get what they want? Doesn't Rush's false/or real anger at everything in the world at the moment give him the equally angry listeners he wants?

He seems so perpetually angry these days, what makes it different when he's mad about injustice versus a woman or minority?

Or wait, it's because he's a white man of course. Is anger is justified. My bad.
