      Yes, that's right, Pat. Obama is trying to tackle the problems he inherited from the Republicans that affect ALL OF US, but he's only doing it in order to satisfy the left. That's his goal!

      Economic recovery? Jobs? Health care? Phooey!!! Obama's got a poltical left to satisfy!

        These folks are so far away from reality, they aren't even aware of their contradictions, in the same interview sometimes. These are the folks who want to tell women they can't have an abortion, want to ram creationism into public school children's curriculum, stop gays from being able to marry, force all people to be of one religion – the christian one, etc, etc, etc, but the left is the side that wants to take away "choice" and control others. They folks are divorced from reality – period.

      There are those who devote their days and years to the study of problems, who surround themselves with intelligent and capable scholars who also have accumulated years of study. There are those who think it is clever to throw in critical one-liners in an attempt to appear trendy and with-it. Until we are all on the same level of education and acquired wisdom on the same subject, we would do well to at least consider the possibility that others just MIGHT have enough knowledge to deserve our serious consideration of what they are saying. . .on all sides of the debate. The older I get, the more I learn, and the more I find out how much I don't know. To those with the quick quips, your age is showing. At least you're on the site and reading. Kudos for that!

      They did make changes in South America, Pinochet, and all the miliary juntas to dismantle democracy and destroy the left. They are capable of creating poverty and torture. They did the bidding of the forces of evil all through the world doing the bidding of the corporations. The right under Bush made a power grab and that is OK? Pat Robertson a man who never has lived his religouis beliefs.

      wait a minute, the way I hear it, Beck's whole premise is totally in error... and the fact that there includes no allusion, in the follow-up comments, that acknowledges anything akin to factual basis makes me conclude that it is indeed _Glenn Beck_, and his kind, that will be responsible for ushering in Socialism.
      So There Glenn Beck, High School Graduate! ...
      ... just as logical as anything Beck has ever concluded.

      not to mention, Whining is not really a good speaking style.

      Government Control? The only problem this "Man of God" has with government control is that it doesn't control what he wants, and the way he wants it controlled. For a guy that wants to shove his own ideologies down all our throats, he's got a lot of nerve criticizing and giving advice. Apparently, he has been talking to god again on his private line.

        Amen. Ayatollah Robertson has appointed himself a guardian of our religious and political values. There is room enough for only those views held by Robertson while he extols what a great democracy we have in the US. Too bad he has let the fire and brimstone rot out his ability to think in the abstract.

      Dear Barack,
      Instead of you "protecting me" by unconstitutionally taking over private business, such as the auto and healthcare industries, I would much rather be free; so, would you please just go away and take the Congress and Senate with you.

        To billfillmore: The attitude that you take of wanting the president,the Congress, and the Senate to go away, reminds me of a slogan that I"ve heard a thousand times; Love it or Leave it. I have heard it is un-american to criticize a war president, or to sow seeds of discontent when the country has serious challenges. Your patriotism should not change just because you can't have it your way or the ole Bush way. Be constructive and come up with something that works. That's part of the problem. You offer no solutions that the majority of Americans can accept. I respect your opinion, but offer something other than "my way or the highway".

        S'pose its to much to ask you to try and back up you statement on the auto and medical industries?
        On the later any well worn talking points will be dutifly trashed as they have been so many times before.
        I don't think publicly traded industries answer to the label of "private business." Medical industries, the ones who pretty much wrote the legislation that regulates the industry. When did health care become an industry anyway?

      I am never surprised anymore how obtuse these folks are. Even the learned ones, like savage, make a*rses of themselves. Education is just so useless on these people. I know that engaging them in conversation maybe save one or two from their ignorance, but I don't have the patience, and thus, it will take others to bring them out of the darkness.
