(Looks at previous item) Has MMfA crossed over into Bizarro World? And taken me with it? "Next, we'll examine how fringe right-winger Rachel Maddow may have directly contributed to the terrorist murder of abortion provider Dr. Jerry Falwell."

LOL! THe thing with Billo is I have actually, unless I was drunk and making it up, HEARD him apologize a few times. Have you ever heard Hannity say, "I was wrong?" But I suppose it's like the bully who beats the crap out of a kid then feels bad the next day...so I dunno. And I am drinking a martini so???

Too bad he does no have the guts to correct his other related falsehood; that he, a so-called news guy, repeatedly referred to Dr. Tiller as a "baby killer", over and over and over, until he was assassinated by a man who used and agreed with the same terminology as Bill O'Reilly.

Once again, the teabagging terrorist O'Racist has to attack his opposition instead of just being a man say he was wrong. Nope, impossible for an anti-American dolt like O'Racist, so he just HAD to call Sanchez "snide" even though Sanchez was professional and journalistic. O'Racist, you still lost.

Now O'Racist has to apologize to America for being so anti-American.

Who's snide and surly, Billy? You looking at yourself in the monitor again?

This is classic Billy the Bully---grudgingly half apologize, make up some lame excuse, and then hint that you're going after the people who dared prove you wrong.

Gee, I guess he can't even apologize right. If you saw him walk across the water you would point and scream that he can't swim. Another truly pathetic Soros pawn. You are what is wrong with this country. People who cannot think for themselves.

Billo can't even apologize without lying. In the original clip he said, "So all day long it wasn't news to cover an Army recruiter gunned down in Arkansas." But in this apology he says, "I was talking about prime time, but I didn't say that." MM should post that discrepancy just to show Billo's pathological tendencies.

"Snide and surly guy"??? He couldn't just be a grown-up about this. "But Maaaaaaaaahhhhhhhm, he's a big smelly head because he told everyone I did something I always do - no fact-checking!"

Of course, bring it back to Dr. Tiller's murder. Relate the coverage of his "killing" of thousands of potential patriots versus the shootings of adult patriots.

Whatever, Bill. Stop snarling, just tuck your tail in between your legs and go lay down. Stay... good, Bill. Have a chamomile and valerian root biscuit.

so this is how a wingnut makes an "apology"......calling the insulted "snide and surly" and then to say he rarely makes mistakes. O'reilly...low class trash all the way.

The funny part for me is the comment from BO..."we have a correction...a RARE correction". With all the money Murdoch has he really should have sent BO to Fact-Checking school.

Notice he did not say a RARE NEED for correction. He admitted they rarely correct their mistakes. There is a reason Murdoch hires shameless liars such as O'Rielly, Hannity and Beck and why they are in bed with the likes of Rush Limbaugh. It is not truth he is after.

I knew as soon as I read the headline I knew that O'Reilly's "apology" would include insulting remarks and some comment about how he almost never makes mistakes. I didn't even need to watch the clip at all. (I did anyway here.) He can't just man up and apologize, he has to add some rude remarks in there. Even then, he only apologized because there is no weaseling out of this one, as he usually does with other things. He clearly was wrong. If it was something about a quote or statistic which may not be as black and white, he usually doesn't apologize, let alone mention the error. If he does, he usually mentions it to defend it even more and dig deeper in.

      THANK YOU.

so basically, o'reilly makes an apology, takes a cheap shot at sanchez for calling him out on his lie with a "snide" attitude (even though o'reilly is always snide), makes the same old "oh i meant..." excuse, and then still says hes going to go over cnn's coverage of tiller and the soldier's murder. watch your own coverage, you arrogant buffoon.

also, its interesting to note that even if o'reilly meant in prime time, anderson cooper was NOT the only one to cover the story in prime time... brown did as well. so he even lied when trying to rationalize his lie.

why am i not surprised? typical oreilly. and i wouldnt accept his apology if i were cnn.

      Bill,
Just because you barely make corrections does not mean you do not constantly make false assertions. Just as higher ratings do not mean better programming. This time however, Rick Sanchez penned your nuts to the proverbial wall and you shrieked and then apologized. It was very big of you to apologize despite how little you remained while doing it.

Nobody should have to "apologize" to Rick Sanchez of " The republican Rant" on chicken noodle news.

I always thought Sanchez belonged WITH Billo on FOX.

Ricky is just as full of it.

It must be hell for Billo to realize that he is not infallible. Of course that point is totally lost on him. He will continue to feed his crapola to the viewers who need Fixxed News to tell them what their opinion should be.

I think Mr Sanchez ( CNN ) offered up a pretty good correction and quite promptly. O'reilly must be feeling a lot of pressure from that little angel that populates one of his shoulders.

Bill D'oh is the poster child for the Fraud & Unbalanced channel. Problem is, just like the Limbaugh Ditto heads who dare not venture into the real world of fact, Bill D'ohs lemmings will not bother to verify anything he says.

Bill is a master of manipulation; he will feed his devoted fans just enough of the CNN beef so that he will seem to be the one wronged. I can’t wait for his in-depth follow-up Monday. Should be good for at least several good laughs.

Sure, bash O'Reilly for making a correction. At least his correction is up front, not like when the NY Times buries their corrections deep inside the paper.
I love the hypocrisy on this site.

He is totally contradicting what he said in the first place, regardless of what he "meant to say". Then, he was a petulant child about the whole thing, and spun it back to a story that wasn't even relevant.

Oops, did I just "bash" him? "My bad!"

Even his "correction" contains a lie. He claims that he meant only "prime time" coverage, but in his original lie he claimed that "all day long" there was no CNN coverage apart from Anderson Cooper. So no, his correction was not "up front" at all.

Ok I mightn't like O Reilly very much, but instead of saying how he doesn't apologize for other things I'll just take this case on its own.
Fair to say, he made a mistake and he apologised on it, fair enough good man Bill everyone makes mistakes (just take it that youv'e never seen or heard of O Reilly before), but doesn't everyone agree that when you make an apology, you don't call the person looking for the apology?
Seriously, what if MM says something wrong about Limbaugh, and then apologised by saying "Sorry fat bastard we shouldn't have called you a racist, we were wrong"
It just doesn't sound good does it
