And, how many minutes after this segment did Pat ask little old ladies to send in more money?

I am hoping that the intent behind this all is social equality that is being readjusted for a number of reasons. These particular measures are not leaning toward socialism. The restructuring and policy revisions that are taking place are so that businesses will be able to profit despite themselves and so that character and work ethic will be principle over relationships. These steps will bring about competitiveness and fair play and maybe that is what you meant is not a good thing. What is a good thing is to see America stand as a super power again and promote love for this country and to share some of the wealth that the citizens who believe in America has made for America. The old way is not favorable anymore and will not be left to be repeated. The old policies may have brought us to invade Iraq but what we need to do now is lean toward intelligence and innovation. Those of us who don't believe we posess either of the latter may be feeling a little scared.

Jesus was a Socialist. He fed the poor and needy and gave free health care.

OMG, this is brilliant! I'm laughing so hard my stomach hurts! "Gave them free health car." That's awesome! I'm sorry, I'm serious, I'm not being snarky. I just wish that people like this self-righteous hypocrite would actually LISTEN to what Jesus SAID (or even supposedly said) and LOOK at what he (again, supposedly) DID. The man would either have to admit he's actually doing the devil's work, of find a way to stuff a camel through the eye of a needle. GREAT POST!

So, 'government health care' won't work, but private health care can't compete...

News flash socialism DOSENT WORK. It has never worked and never will. Capitalism has produced the greatest wealth for the greatest percentage of a population ever. Our “poor” people live better the most of the rest of the world. You cannot continually rob Peter to pay Paul Eventually Peter will run out of money or say screw it Im not working either.

You could not be more wrong. Our system has worked best when labor and capital were in balance. Throw the system out of balance and you've got hard times for everyone. And since 1981, unfettered capitalism has slowly eroded the middle class.

People who work for a living were fooled into thinking that their best interest lay in supporting policies that benefitted their investments instead of increasing their wages. And those who work for a living live off their wages, not their investments.

        Socialism doesn't work?
        Ahem...excuse me...
Our economy is a hybrid, socialistic and capitalistic one...
If it wasn't for the highly socialistic New Deal none of us would be where we're at right now...
There is no such thing as a "pure" economy!!
Capitalism cannot work on it's own due to un-checked greed...
Socialism cannot work on it's own due to inefficient bureacracy...
        Together however,is a different story.

I live in Canada right by the NY State border (was born in NY State) and this claim that we who live here in Canada stand in line for hours to recieve care is an outright lie or surely comes from people who are trying to promote their own political agenda before thoroughly investigating the facts first.
I would be glad to send the real facts about our health care here to whoever runs this site so the truth can be known and to silence these right wing blowhards.

President Obama is always in the headlines. People are keep on questioning him in relation to his plan with regards to health care. But, Nancy Reagan, spouse of the late President Ronald Reagan, praised Obama for reversing the ban on stem cell research. She went to the White House to meet with Michelle Obama and President Obama. The President had made some disparaging remarks about Mrs. Reagan and her attending a séance, and he later apologized. (Mrs. Reagan had consulted with astrologers during Reagan's term.) The remark was intended as tongue-in-cheek, but lost on many. She was honored at a White House lunch, part of the ceremonies was a new statue of Ronald Reagan.
