      "Fearlessly said?"
"Fearlessly" said from the safety of his studio behind that microphone.

Face to face with Obama, Limabugh would end up doing a dump in his pants.

Well, IIRC Limbaugh did invite Obama to a 1v1 debate way back when...

Rush would have never showed up, and made lame excuses.

Oh, he'd likely show, but only because it'd be a lose-lose for Obama to accept such an idiotic "invitation." The president of the United States can only lose stature by debating anyone who is not a
presidential candidate, much less getting down in the mud with a radio ranter like Rush. Even if he wiped the floor with him, Obama would lose just by dignifying the event. Limbaugh of course knew that long before he made the challenge.

True enough. I suspect Rush only made the challenge in the knowledge that there was no way in hell it would ever be taken up.

Beyond that, Limbosevic and the rest of these right-wing talking heads are plainly living their lives scared sh!tless, I know not of what. I'd say they were terrified of being out of power, but they were like this when they were in power, too.

Too true. He doesn't have much, but still just pumps himself up each day for another go. Nerzog has a great portrait of him in the Obama/god complex thread...an oldie but goodie:

Shouldn't this man (if I can call him that) be tried for treason? Calling for an American President to fail when we are at war is, in my book, treason. This big fat drug addict should be treated as a danger to our national security for such statements.

Yep, that's you, Rush. "Fearless". You weren't afraid to tell the draft board that your buttwart was too much of an owie to serve in Vietnam with all those Angry Minorities. You weren't afraid to ask your maid if she could please mule your drugs for you. And today, you show your steely resolve by throwing sore loser tantrums. Wow. King Arthur< you.

And I have said this before, Rush, but when Bush was elected, I wanted him to succeed. I wanted to be the one who was wrong. I wanted there to be a connection between 9/11 and Iraq because that is what my country was sending troops there for. I wanted there to be WMD's in Iraq to be found because that's what my president told me. I wanted the way out of a recession to be through tax cuts if that's what turned our country around. I wanted Bush to be right and for our country to succeed. I didn't care if I was proven wrong, because, honestly, what does that matter?

I was angry when we went into Iraq. But once we were in there, I wanted a quick and decisive victory so that there would be minimal deaths of troops and civilians--even if that meant Bush being seen as a hero in spite of lying us into this war.

It's not that I ever wanted Bush to fail. By pointing out the flaws in a plan or policy and advocating for better certainly doesn't mean you want Bush to fail.

Even though I was deflated on Nov. 2, 2004, I still hoped (in vain) that Bush would do a 180 on a lot of things.

          Oh well, now it's TGIO.

Refers to himself as "fearless"? I guess his ego really is as bloated as that corpulent pile of rancid cheese-curds that he calls a body.

      No -
The dirty little secret is that people of color who had the bravery to fight and defend your right to speak such treasonous and ugly words, defend the right for all Americans to vote and for all Americans to have an opportunity to volunteer for duty whether military, civil service, government official, community activist, volunteer......while you sit there and embarass yourself and a nation, and a president who is doing far more by actions with class and civility, while you sit there and spew ugliness.
I hate that I come from 4 generations of African Americans who fought in every conflict of this nation - - spilled their blood for people like you. Good thing they didn't fail, or you wouldn't have the platform to say the stupidity that you do to an uneducated misdirected mass that listen to you as their "messiah".
