I'm shocked, shocked I tells ya...Religious zealots using a book to back up their beliefs. It's nothing like quoting Leviticus to condemn homosexuality or anything like that.

Wow...by this guys logic the Bible is the reason for slavery....the genocide of the Native Americans....the Crusades...The hostile takeover of all lands by Europeans, The Iraq war, and any other loss of life due to someone interpreting the Bible and using it to justify the killing of other peoples.....I think I'll donate some money to the ban Savage and associates from having a show or going on a news station foundation.

You're telling me that the individual person or the people that are manipulating these texts are not responsible.....the text is...smh

President Obama referred to the Qur'an (or a copy of it) in four different places in his Cairo Speech - at least, according to the transcription proivded by the Associated Press at http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gkyWk2MK7xeDw2b1jPhFS6KsvPegD98N67R80 .

Those four instances are listed below.

As the holy Quran tells us: "Be conscious of God and speak always the truth."

And when the first Muslim American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same holy Quran that one of our founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson, kept in his personal library.

The holy Quran teaches that whoever kills an innocent is as — it is as it if has killed all mankind. And the holy Quran also says whoever saves a person, it is as if he has saved all mankind.

The holy Quran tells us: "Mankind, we have created you male and a female. And we have made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another."

Not one of those quotations refers to jihad or militancy in a positive light. See http://www.ammanmessage.com for more information.

I did a quick search of the skeptic's annotated Koran, but the difference per translation has got to be pretty big.

He sounds nice and fake shocked as well, like the guy is just making blatant hyperbole as per their agreement.
