WTF???? The Muslim convert nut who shot the recruiters is the "far left" equivalent of Von Brunn? Is he serious? Cavuto seems to think it's a "good point".

Coincidentally, I just saw a congressman Mike Rogers (from Michigan, I think)on Hardball commenting on the shooting. He also brought up the guy who shot the recruiters, describing him as ideologically driven through his conversion. He contrasted this with Von Brunn, excusing him as a victim of economic hard times and frightening change.

The apologists are already lining up to appease the wingnut fringe.

Let them twirl. von Brunn was an avid listener of Rush Limbaugh. He acted out big time today. If "Rush is Right" I would rather be wrong.

His continued "faux" outrage at the DHS report is bad; however, his most outrageous statement was equating a muslim fundamentalist with a left winger.

By the very definition of the word, a fundamentalist can be nothing BUT a conservative. They don't want change - they don't want progress - they want things to remain the way they are, or go back to the way they once were.

...or go back to the way they once were.

This is perhaps more to the point, wz; their hobbyhorse is--whether Christian, Jewish, or Muslim--that things were better in some fictional "old days," and the crying need of the present is to go back to those fictional "good old days." As you imply, it is impossible to be both fundamentalist and liberal, or even moderate...

Neil Cavuto is a f-ing tool bag.

      Ralph,
You are such a distorter of reality. The DHS report did not say military veterans would become terrorists. It said extremists groups would try to recruit them due to the fact they have been trained in weapons and could suffer from the effects of war. Does Ralph not understand this or is he lying on purpose? I want a debate between Katherin Herridge and Ralph Peters on the DHS report. Yuo thik Neil will do that? I hope Sheppard will. This type of distortions must be addressed and debunked. How can the DHS reporter and Fox's FBI guy be on debunking the paranoia on the right and then 10 minutes later Ralph comes on to say those people at Fox are idiots and all Neil can come up with is, "nice points, all"

This uniformed fool needs to read BOTH reports that were initiated by the Bush administration. The report of left wing extremists and now right wing extremists with came out AFTER Bush left office.

The DHS report was spot on. And when fools like this Peters fellow cherry pick one part of ONE REPORT to further HIS own agenda then it waters down the importance of the conclusion of these reports. There are nuts out there on the extremes and they need to be watched all the time by everyone in the center for the common good.

I said to a friend when I heard about the shooting, "The amount and tone of coverage Fox will give this depends entirely on whether or not the shooter turns out to be a white supremacist or a radical Muslim." God, I wish I'd been wrong.

Fox is full of Freepers who've shaved and dressed in suits. Once they find out one of their own is the terrorist, he becomes a victim who was driven to it by that anti-American Muslim radical in the White House.

"On Fox News of all places..."

Can you imagine? Actual reporting made it to Fox's airwaves?

I find it hard to believe, too.

The usual gang of wingnuts seem to be hiding in their woodpiles today. Events like this sometimes require several hours of instruction from Boss Hogg, and a few more to self-hypnotize themselves into swallowing it.

He was an old man thats the ONLY why you can look at it ,But the News will use it and blow it up into a story that sells! By the way this will blow your mind. They called the U.S.Seamen of the U.S. Liberty Anti-Semites or as you would call them Wingnuts!for wanting to tell what happened to them. Google ( U.S. Liberty cover up)

Peters is the same virulent wingnut who recently advocated murdering the prisoners that we are currently holding at Gitmo, lest they be granted human and legal rights. His is the face of extremism, while he glibly goes about the task of demonizing the left for the violent acts that they've not committed. What a freakin' putz!

DHS REPORT: Warned of violence from right wing extremists.

HOLOCAUST MUSEUM SHOOTING: Act of violence carried out by right wing extremist.

      COL. RALPH PETERS: Completely clueless.

Peters has it right, to say that the DHS report has any relevance to a situation like this is just wrong. It is more a case of a hate crime by an mentally ill bigot, who has been out of the service for 60 years or so.
