If Becky is against anchor babies, I hope he spends every day demanding that Malkin is deported.
Ouch!
Bringing in the fourteenth amendment into this discussion is racist.
Lyndon Johnson changed immigration law so that families could stay together, and therefore make a more stable family unit - thereby making better citizens.
Further, and I truly hate to say this, but economically, this country was built on the back of cheap labor. It started with indentured servants, than slaves, and then every immmigrant group who were lucky enough to find their way here.
I say this proudly: I am the granddaughter of immigrants, I am the daughter of a life long union member. I stand on their shoulders.
Here's the good news, the right has no coherent answer to immigration reform and their deportation, seal the border militant stance does not fly with an increasingly multi-cultural nation like ours.
Progressives just make more sense on the issue. We realize that immigration is a labor issue, that immigration is a trade issue. Right now too many undocumented immigrants have applications for citizen ship pending and while they are waiting they have no legal access to protection from predatory employers. And the practices of these employers filter out into our economy and drive down wages for everyone. We understand that streamlining the path to citizenship, reuniting families and empowering workers to fight a broken system is a large part of our broad prosperity agenda.
So forget Beck and his fake as hell conservative family values schlock. If he cared about families, if understood how families are the cornerstone of communities upon which immigrants more successfully integrate themselves into our country, he would just stfu.
Actually l thought, "Malkin will be P.I.S.S.E.D"!!!!!!!
The man's insanely smart.
Let's look at Glen Beck, who is only a US Citizen by virtue of his live birth in the United States or on US soil. (military bases, etc.)
Let's check the register on the Mayflower, because I'm sure his 100% all-American family were on boa--wait, what? Oh, Mr. Beck is a transplant like the rest of us. Do you think his great-great-grandmother would have considered his great-grandmother an 'anchor baby'?
The idea that illegal immigrants are dangerous, to me, far overstates the case. Lest we forget that all of the terrorists who struck the WTC on 9/11 were here legally on Visas.
Beck, you're a numbskull.
The money backing them might fall like a stack of cards eventually. This is the most likely way some disappear, in my opinion. Faulty financial planning is a feature of many recent media empires.
I'd like to think so, pags, but I still remember 2004, Jerome Corsi, and swiftboating which got Shrub over the top for that second term. Never forget Mencken's most famous quote--"No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people"...
What a noble reason to change the constitution: in order to specifically deny rights to a particular group of people.
