Sick bastards. Sick, un-American scumbags. I've got an idea: How about we set any car that we see with that sitcker on it ON FIRE. Maybe they'll think that's frickin' hilarious, given the distgusting psycopathy that they try to pass as humor.

In light of the recent murderous events conducted by conservatives, this no doubt should be considered a serious threat....a death threat to be exact.

hey man, have not been on here in an age. just reading. i live in hamburg. here 'real' rechts wingers exist- no kidding. i? i am 'antifa'. lots of it has to do with soccer. google 'ultra sankt pauli' and have a look. wicked serious. last year? 'neo nazis' showed up in a charter bus for a game. 'ultras' sprang out from behind bushes- stopped the bus, more came out and boarded- drug nazis from bus- beatings were administered- bus? set alight.

i don't condone it. but? a sick and sad part of me enjoyed watching it unfold. do you think america is edging towards that? i hope not. i'm too old for that stuff now. rather just sit back with my beer and watch the game.

but duty calls. be? be ever vigilant. honest.

Hey, that game's kinda fun, Fairlib! Got to vent a little after enduring 8 years of GW Bush. I sure wouldn't blame all of his misdeeds on anybody who disagreed with me politically, however.

Good thing I'm not a right wing crazy who might be set off by a video game. Some of them don't seem capable of separating fantasy from reality.

A sample of von Brunn's violent leftist rantings:
"Obama has lived for 48 years without leaving any footprints -- none! There is no Obama documentation -- no records -- no paper trail -- none -- this is no accident. It is being done on purpose with Media help - but to serve whom & why???"
Say, Rush, weren't you saying something similar the other day? When'd you go all soft and librul on us?

Budrykz, I just recently saw the source of that--

        Von Brunn writing at Freerepublic

Rush (and Cheney2012, falling for this crap on another thread), before you embarrass yourselves any further with this nonsense, read Von Brunn's psycho rant, and the props he gets from the wingnut freepers. THEN continue with your ridiculous defense, but only if you're wearing big red noses and baggy clown pants.

If von Brunn was anti-Bush, it was for the same reason the far-far right usually is: he thought he was overly liberal for supporting Israel and not making it legal to shoot migrant workers. Whereas, as a liberal, my criticisms of him are more along the lines of "started a BS war, ravaged the Bill of Rights, let New Orleans rot, gutted the economy"... you know, typical vile, hateful reasons.

They have been marginalized. Akin to a dangerous snake who has been cornered. You know what happens next.

For the first time I am truly afraid. Afraid for this President. Afraid for this country. I didn't want to believe it but having Obama as President is turning out to be a double-edged sword.

I too am afraid for the President. But I have been ever since he announced his intention to run. And nothing I've seen or heard so far is truly unexpected, from my POV.

I'm NOT afraid for the country however. My optimism for the country puts Ronald Reagan's sunny disposition to shame. And the reason IS that these guys are behaving like dying animals. And that MAY JUST MEAN that they are in fact DYING OUT. And in the meantime, they have a decreasing ability to do harm since they are finally being revealed for the hateful, racist, classist, pseudo-religious basket cases that they are.

This can only END well. It might be a bumpy ride, but the destination will be a better place. And I haven't been able to say that, and believe it, for 16 years.

obama is a brave man. americans wanted a savior. he is as close as we could get. no kidding. think they'll kill him? wouldn't be surprised. they talk about open war?

they that sit behind televisions and video game monitors? they have no idea. no idea.

i can't believe i write that. it sounds insane. but hell, they are killing doctors because they don't agree with the law. if someone were to foreclose on my house...and i shoot them because i don't like the law...?

                hello? americans? anyone out there?

If you lost your house to foreclosure you'd be one of those lazy, probably illegal immigrant, minority types who bought more house than you could afford.

Once you shot someone, however, you'd become an American hero, heir to the American Revolution.

I think it was Euripides who wrote, "Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad." This insane love of firearms may well destroy this country. It's already destroyed some of our potential greatness.

I'm with you guys, although I'm not sure it's just our love or GUNS. We can be plenty biggoted and xenophibic without guns. All you really need is religion and nationalism. And the ignorant, poor white trash that votes republican has that in spades. Without guns, we'd use crossbows (which were once banned by the POPE, BTW!) without crossbows, we'd use conventional bows, no bows? Swords. No swords? Clubs. (And good luck banning CLUBS.) We've been killing each other as long as we've been making fire. (Which is yet another way we've killed each other!)

In my mind, the METHOD of killing is irrelevant, and just because it's easier now (and that's just assuming you have a gun and the other guy doesn't) that doesn't mean that we're MORE MOTIVATED to do so, and if we are, it's not necessarily the easier method that's causing it. The motivation to kill comes from Religion, Racism, Homophobia, etc... Basically this completly irrational fear of the other. It's inherent in human nature and yet utterly senseless.

But if I had to do one of two things: diasarm people of educate them, I'd always choose the latter. If you try to do the former, without the latter, it just gets worse. After all, a gun didn't kill George Tiller, Stephen Tyrone or those recruiters. A religious nut and/or ingnorant right-wing racist conspiracy fanatic did. And THAT'S the problem. The inherent barabrism of these animas like Von Brun; who would get his hand on a gun, legal or not, regardless of our "love" of them.

And would going berserk in a crowded place with a pair of rapiers or a claymore really be any less deadly? I might be worse: it's makes a lot less noise, so people wouldn't clear out as quickly.

Your point about human nature is well taken. However, the extreme ease which you point out firearms bring to the table is a crucial factor in making us the country with, by far, the greatest per capita homicide rate in the world. The last time I looked, our murder rate for non-firearm homicides were about the same as the homicide rates of countries where firearms are not so readily available and revered.
