Responding to Joe Scarborough's criticisms of Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) in a CNBC interview, CNBC chief Washington correspondent John Harwood said: "Are we now at a point where we're taking the tenor of exchanges with cable anchors as evidence of temperament, as evidence of a politician's temperament? I don't know, I think that's a - I think that's a pretty rough standard ... I think Barney Frank was provoked."

What a disingenuous clown. I alsmost spit out my coffee with laughter. Harwood was not only correct, that Haines kept interrupting Barney Frank but, I myself remember Scarborough once pulled a similar walkoff during a segment on David Gregory's former show Race For The Whitehouse. On that show, Scarborough got politely smackdown by Rachel Maddow who was part of the panel. So, they went to a commercial and when they came back Scarborough was gone from the panel and they never even addressed it. He's a hot headed bully and a complete moron. He just broght Mark Haines on and then he ranted so long that when Haines was finally able to speak after Scarborough claimed that since Obama was sworn in the Democrats are all arogant and that he's hearing this from "lots" of people. Even Peggy Nooner joined in claiming she's heard similar stories although she didn't name anyone specific either. Anyway, once he was able to speak, Haines quickly cut him off and said that he's interviewed lots of Dems and Republicans over the years and that each side has done what they wanted when they were in office. This idiot Scarborough also claimed that he's gotten calls from many GM Dealers claiming that they're being closed down for political reasons. What a clown. Why would anyone be calling Scarborough? He doesn't have any power! He's so full of crap!

Haines was being overly confrontational. He wasn't just a journalist asking a question. He had a point to make and was going to argue it. Ergo his talking over Frank and not letting him answer. Frank saw that this wasn't a true interview soliciting information, but that Haines was making it about himself, so why waste his own time on this nonsense.

Haines is well known for being a hothead and very confrontational with guests. He escalates situations like that. Frank was wise to leave when he did because I guarantee you Haines would have escalated it ten time worse than that if it continued.

This is exactly what you libs refuse to be taught, and why you hate the likes of limpaugh, hannity, and coulter. Until Barney Frank can learn to just sit there and accept all of the premises of the question he's offered, until he stops insisting on laying out the facts accurately before giving an answer, well, I'm just not sure his temperament is right to represent the people...

I HATE it when we do that... facts and accuracy - it's just that type of behavior that is going to keep us in the political majority for a decade or more, and who in the world wants THAT?!?

Joe would be the expert on "tirades not worthy of a back bencher" and would never walk off set in a huff.

Speaking of poor temperament, look how freakin' blindsided Scarborough was to a simple difference of opinion. My god that ego is impenetrable. He could not even consider for 1 second Harwood's dissenting opinion and defense of Frank.

Thanks MM. I have not watched the show in realtime since Joe and Mika began their barrage of vulgar self-serving plugs for the book. It is not surprising that JS remains a hypocrite. Can we even count the times where he came off as a bully? Has he forgotten how he treated Chrystia Freeland? How about all the rants against Pelosi and defense of torture? Anyone still remember how he blasted Rahm over the putative Balgo connection? How about how he stormed off the set when challenged by Rachel? Let's also not forget his selective coverage of news. Someone remind Joe that this is not 1994. There is "The Google."

I haven't watched it in real time since I found out that the "Joe" in "Morning Joe" was Scarborough.

To Haines credit: Later, when Haines was on the show, Scarborough tried to make it into a partisan thing, saying that ever since Jan., if someone opposes the Obama economic plan, they are for doing nothing. Haines responded something like "yeah, but if you weren't pro-Iraq, you were anti-troops. Both parties pull the same bull."

The look on Scarborough's face was priceless. A look of surprise mixed with hatred. After all, he was assuming this was a gimme for another yes man supporting the right wing point he wanted to make, and the guy goes against that point. So Joe says: "Dude, you don't have to preach this. You will still get Democrats on your show. You don't have to tell me that. I attack both sides."

Yeah right Joe. When cornered, pretend once more that you are a reasonable Republican, when in fact you are nothing more than a typical lying, distorting, Carl Rovian type of wingnut. (For example, on today's show he picked up the Palin line ridiculing Letterman for joking about a 14-year old girl, when he knows the joke was directed at the 18-year old.) That's why your book is only no. 81 in sales on Amazon, even after the massive promotions of it. Everyone knows you are a wingnut pretending to be reasonable. One of the phoniest repubs out there.

Since I attack Joe earlier, let's be fair -- this is conservative misinformation as much as corporate misinformation. NBC and its babies are mad one of their own got taken down.

I am sure the executives sent the word down to kick at Frank a little and because of political perceptions and the fact they still want someone to have access to Frank they picked Joe as the attack dog. CNN would have given the order to Dobb's.

Is there a corporate misinformation site?

      Scarbrough,
You are and always wil be a back bencher. On the other hand Barney Frank does not have time to get hassled by a media back bencher. Oh yeah, Mark Levin called and he wants his material back.

The best part was that John Harwood didn't back down. In the end that idiot Scarborough simply had to change the subject...after his 3 minute sermon practically asking Harwood if he was a moron for not agreeing with him. During yesterday's show they received an email from the State Department correcting some misinformation they were handing out about the release of detainees. They really are the worst morning show in terms of sticking to actual facts.

You need to count the number of grains of sand on a beach and then multiply that number by 100 trillion and that may begin to get you into the neighborhood of the figure you're looking for.

Once again, we see conservative projection here. Scarborough stormed off the set after Rachel Maddow politely took him to task on incorrect information he was spewing. Maddow even defended him later on. Maddow is perhaps the most polite and laid-back interviewer and/or guest on television and Scarborough was misinforming as usual and he stormed off after she politely corrected him.

Mark Haines has tried to walk all over his guests before, and is known for doing that. Barney Frank wasn't even able to get a word in edge-wise and so he rightfully decided it wasn't worth his time or energy.

As far as being a backbencher, Scarborough was a mediocre, somewhat obscure member of Congress who resigned just seven months after being re-elected to District 1 in Florida. This was right around the time a dead intern was found in one of his offices. That summer, the summer before 9/11, the "liberal media" covered Democrat Gary Condit non-stop despite the fact that there was not one shred of evidence linking him to the disappearance of Chandra Levy, and ignored the Scarborough story. There was local media in Florida that covered it but it got almost no coverage nationally. And this clown complains about the "liberal media."

      THANK YOU.
