I live in PIttsburgh and hear this clown on a regular basis.

All right wing talking heads are sanctimonius blowhards who think they have the answers to everything.

After the Bush disaster they supported, you'd think they'd shut up

It's really the audience, not their hateful messengers. It's not a freedom of speech issue, they can say whatever they like as long they're prepared for the backlash. People have the right to be racist, sexist, homophobic or whatever.

They just shouldn't cry persecution when the backlash comes. These are the same psychographic types that fought desegregation, social security, medicare/medicaid, welfare, and most recently Gay rights. They always lose and come into the light decades later (with the exception of Rush and O'Reilly). In marketing terms they're called "laggards," meaning they lag in their acceptance of positive change. In political terms they are called Republicans.

I have to take issue with the part on segregation. Up until about 80 years ago, the Democratic Party was dominated by Southern segregationists and did a lot to oppose desegregation/integrate segregation (Wilson, AR Gov Faubus). The Republican Party did more for blacks at the time (Lincoln), and they were rewarded with loyal black votes. When FDR became POTUS, he and Eleanor brought the Northern progressive, liberals ideals we now associate with the party and were very outspoken on the matter. Then, there was Johnson with Affirmative Action (which old white conservatives are crying foul over these days)... etc etc.
I don't understand why "progressive" has always had such a negative connotation. Progress and change are the only constants and are inevitable. Look at evolution... adapt or die out!

I often wonder if the reason the right goes after Frank so much is the fact that he's gay. He's fairly outspoken so maybe it's just that but he seems to get attacked more than most.

I also wonder what would be the reaction if Keith Olberman or Rachel Maddow called , say, Larry Craig a "homo".

Well... Rachel wouldn't do that, but if she did it might still be ok and both are for the same reason: SHE'S A HOMO!

("We don't care if Eddie Murphy or Richard Pryor use the word 'n!gger' because we know they're not racist. How do we know that? THEY'RE N!GGERS!" ~ George Carlin)

I guess if he would have limited his outrage to pmpous and arrogant, that would be fine. A personal attack based on nothing, but fine. When he brings his homosexuality into it, we know what he's really attacking, Frank's homosexuality. Quinn probably doesn't even known where Frank has voted, or stands on the issues and policies. But he knows one thing.

He is a Homo-sexual, so he must be deviant.

Or is Quinn, like other conservatives, just projecting what they really are?

But she doesn't even wear flannel shirts! Just kidding but actually I didn't know that. I just chose her and Olberman because they are the two the right always points to when one of their guys misbehaves. Sort of like the old 'But Clinton...' thing except now it's 'But Olberman...But Maddow...'

      Taking bets now.

Which of these Troglodyte douchebags will be the first one to slip up and call Obama the "N" word on the air? You know they want to, and have to bite their knuckles to keep from it.

As their delusional screeching grows ever more cacophonous, I think it's just a matter of time.

My guess is that it won't be one of the big time "pros", but one of these toxic little cretins in a local market.

I could almsot see Liddy or Savage throwing out a shvarze, but I don't really think it'll happen. And the 7 sec delay would TOTALLY edit it out anyway.

Hubris? Jim (who I listen to regularly-there's nothing funnier) has no idea what he's talking about. Here, he's lying through his teeth about the sources of sub-prime loans. But then, he really doesn't know anything, he's an uneducated rock 'n' roll DJ who figured out how to make money with talk radio.

It was doomsday predictions for every show 1998-99. Then, nothing happens, and these tools still listen to him.

Yeah, yeah, we get it. We should be more christian like the right is...

Colmes: ...you then said, I asked for whom else are you praying in that fashion and you said President Obama. Are you praying for his death?

      Drake: Yes.

Colmes: So you're praying for the death of the president of the United States?

Drake: Yes. Are you concerned that by saying that you might find yourself on some secret service call or FBI most wanted list. Do you think it's appropriate to say something like that or even pray for something like that?

Drake: I think it's appropriate to pray for the will of God. I'm not saying anything, what I'm doing is repeating what God is saying, if that puts me on somebodies list then I'll just have to be on their list.

Colmes: You would like for the president of the United States to die?

Drake: If he does not turn to God and does not turn his life around I am asking God to enforce in imprecatory prayers throughout the scripture that would cause him death, that's correct.

That's the problem. The far right nimrods who have appropriated the fine old title of "Christian" are so completely ignorant of what it actually means to be one that they don't recognize them when they see them. Of course, the fact that being a Republican is a prerequisite for being a Christian in their view rules out a huge chunk.

But it's very obvious that if Christ showed up in this country today, the people who most loudly proclaim themselves to be his followers would be the most frenzied ones whipping the flesh off his back and nailing him to a hunk of wood. It really is a pathetic state of affairs.

Of course he should. DL joked about Palin's look, a look that was flaunted around during the campaign. And conservative and liberal men know she added sex appeal to the campaign. He also joked about Palin's daughter because of her stance on sex ed and the fact that her 17 year old daughter was impregnated by a complete white trasher. Palin is straight out of a trailer park, sterotypically speaking. His jokes, however cruel they may have been, were targeted at one family at the most. What Quinn said was a slur of millions. Digest that on your way back the RedState.

Ah, this must be a display of the new civility that Obama said was coming. It is too bad that his supporters do not display some of the class that he does. It is too bad that his supporters do not learn anything from his words. Let me be as clear as possible," Obama said. "I think people's families are off-limits, and people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president."

Letterman showed he was a classless piece of human excrement with his comments about an underage girl and rude comments about Palin. And anyone who defends him is just as bad. Imus was fired for stupid off the cuff remarks, Letterman planned this, it was premeditated. He should be fired also.

The politics of Obama and Palin are over. At least until 2012. You guys andgals seem to forget, Obama won, Palin was drubbed. You and the right wing claim he was talking about an underage girl. You are the one who turned this into an issue about a 14 year old. 99% of Letterman's audience who know anything about Palin know that she has an 18 year old daughter who was paraded around the country with her "boyfriend". And her mom look like a hypocrite for being a proponent of abstinence only and now Bristol is working for an Abstinence Orginization that had a big press launch in NYC a fewmonths ago. I would have said she has an erotic flight attendant look and that ARod went to make a play on a foul ball and leaned into the stands, didn't make the play, but did get Bristol Palin's cell number. That would have been funnier and right wingers wouldn't have went nutty.

It seems that dems and reps are not that much different when it comes to premarital sex. ..http://books.google.com/books?id=wGtJ66o3EyIC&pg=PA15&lpg=PA15&dq=republicans+premarital+sex&source=bl&ots=nHH0Eiy2DS&sig=NV9sbXfdvQ5IjJAMMb_IBSaN06Q&hl=en&ei=gCI1SoqkO6CqtgfQmti8CQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1..,

What these surveys also show is that dems are more likely to cheat on their spouse and to have children out of wedlock and as teenagers. I guess loyalty and the welfare of children are not very inportant to many dems.

Dems promote thorough sex ed. Reps promote abstinence only.

The only thing which is missing from this clip is Rose adding her more insults and agreeing with evrything which Jim says. These two are smug in their ingorance. It is amazing how they think they make a point and are actually proud of themselves when they demonize people they disagree with.
