They just shouldn't cry persecution when the backlash comes. These are the same psychographic types that fought desegregation, social security, medicare/medicaid, welfare, and most recently Gay rights. They always lose and come into the light decades later (with the exception of Rush and O'Reilly). In marketing terms they're called "laggards," meaning they lag in their acceptance of positive change. In political terms they are called Republicans.
I don't understand why "progressive" has always had such a negative connotation. Progress and change are the only constants and are inevitable. Look at evolution... adapt or die out!

What Imus said was a genralization of women based on their skin color and hair. It was probably funny to you. Considering those girls bust their butts both on and off the court it was probably the last way they should have been described. If Letterman was fired I could give a rats rear.
What these surveys also show is that dems are more likely to cheat on their spouse and to have children out of wedlock and as teenagers. I guess loyalty and the welfare of children are not very inportant to many dems.
