Same straight face he used when he would scream at guests that Rush never said he wanted the President to fail. "What he said was...I interviewed him...what he meant was...He never said" Lie, Lie, Lie After months of denying it he Then tried to manipulate Rush into agreeing he had never said it. Rush said "no I did say it & I do want the president to fail." Egg on his face an Sean still had no shame about his lying.

Totally a knee-jerk reaction from Hannity.

Limbaugh makes fun of a lot of people, but apparently "making fun of someone" does not compute to Hannity if he feels that Limbaugh was justified in making his opinion.

Hannity ought to know for himself that AM radio is one of the nastiest purveyors of sarcasm and long-distance mockery. If the right thought that Letterman's comments regarding the Palin daughters was outrageous, they ought to look at the comments made on conservative and liberal AM radio shows and decry those, as well.

I'll give you that; there is a huge difference between left and right AM radio. Granted, I wasn't referring to ALL of the left and right talk-radio shows. The right crosses the line between comedy and abuse a hell of a lot more than the left.

But I'm not assuming that all left talk-radio shows are the same, nor are they all innocent to such comments. Lines get crossed regardless of affiliation; it's just that right-wing media crosses the line so many times that it's practically a finish line to them.

Of course, it's a lot easier to identify when the response is in the form of quick mindless denial like that of Hannity's banter.

Yes, seriously. He claims that Michelle said that we all came from gorillas or monkeys or some such nonsense and that's why he said that the gorilla would be one of Michelle's ancestors.

The disparaging comment was a response to a Facebook post by an aide to (South Carolina) state Attorney General Henry McMaster, who described in detail the escape of a gorilla from Columbia's Riverbanks Zoo Friday.

Isn't South Carolina the home of that idiotic Governor who at first refused stimulus money unless he could use it in a totally useless way for 'stimulus' by paying down his state's deficit? Mark Sanford.

What's really funny about the letterman rant is that Jay Leno made an almost exact same crack about Palin's daughter during the presidential campaign!

Gov. Palin announced over the weekend that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is five months pregnant. And you thought John Edwards was in trouble before! Now he has really done it. -- The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, 9/2/08

Don't expect to see any outrage there though, Leno gives to republicans so he'll be spared the same faux outrage reserved for everyone else.

Wow, in condemning the GOP member's racist remark, the State GOP Chairwoman just had to imply that it's just as bad with what Letterman said. These people are patently pathetic:

State GOP Chairwoman Karen Floyd condemning the comments.

"Comments like the one in question are unacceptable, run contrary to the spirit and ideals of the Republican Party and have no place in public discourse. Far too often, families are seen as fair game in political fights - becoming targets of attacks and punchlines in offensive satires or jokes. Whether they're directed toward First Lady Michelle Obama or Governor Sarah Palin's children, attacks of this nature and attacks on family members of elected officials are out of bounds and should be condemned by all sides."

You know what my favorite part of this is? Normally when someone lies through their teeth like this, MMfA will say "falsely claims" in the headline, but in this case, it's just such a well-documented fact that what Hannity is saying is complete crap that the adverb isn't even necessary. Just pull the curtain, start the train wreck.
