It's really amazing how Limbaugh projects all of his own issues onto Obama.

Rush, just come out and say it...You don't want your records digitized because it will end your ability to doctor shop and hold multiple prescriptions for the same drug.

Totally reasonable assumption... in fact, if the left had a show like Rush, that would be the story!

Rush Limbaugh against digitized records because it will be harder to get excessive oxycodone.

It's as much fact based as him stating Michael J Fox was faking the effects of Parkinson's Disease.

Rush is trying to scare you with things that are already occurring now in the current system.

Health Insurers are using patient medical records to try to find reasons to deny coverage. When the leaders of the three largest health insurers were asked before Congress if they would stop the practice of rescission, all three said no.
      http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-rescind17-2009jun17,0,5870586.story

The sister of an Illinois man who died of lymphoma said his policy was rescinded for the failure to report a possible aneurysm and gallstones that his physician noted in his chart but did not discuss with him.

The system is broken for everyone except the Rich, which is why Rush doesn't see the crisis.

Obama said it best - we can electronically track a Fed Ex package but we still write down patient histories on clip boards.

The 21st century is beckoning you, the health care dinosaurs.

I think the Health Care providers may not like the idea of digitization all of the records out of fear of being exposed for over billing and having to answer too many questions.

Again, I am amazed at how paranoid these Wingnuts are. Why would a government bureaucrat be any more inclined to deny you coverage than a profit-driven Insurance Company bureaucrat?

The Democrats are letting the Troglodytes dominate this debate, and it's pi$$ing me off.

Worse than that, there are MULTIPLE insurance company bureaucracies, each with its own special brand of confounding documents to navigate, all of it established with one goal in mind: DENY PAYMENT ON CLAIMS. The insurance companies aren't in the health care business, they're in the coverage DENIAL business.

This is exactly why a National Insurance Group is what we need. Insurance companies are in it for the profit. Okay, fine. Let the Government create a national insurance group to take all the people the commercial insurance companies refuse to insure.

Rationing? Maybe that will come. If I'm 75 and they deny me an operation so that the money can be spent on a heart transplant for a ten-year-old, I can accept that. It's better than being denied coverage so that the Insurance Company CEO can buy a bigger yacht.

i could not agree with you more. it seems the insurance companies are in business to try their best not to pay for medical care just so they can buy that extra jet to fly around in.

We're all complicit too, if you think about it. The hale with insurance are reaping the benefits of insurance companies denying coverage to their sicker brethren. We are effectively paying the insurance company to find ways to not pay out to others. This works fine until you yourself become sick and are subject to the same disgusting tactics.

We need an end to the for-profit health insurance business if for nothing else, then to end the pitting of healthy against frail.

It makes me wonder about the reliability of other forms of insurance too. Probably a lot of the same people (or just sharing the same greediness) and companies that provide health insurance are in the other types. If I were in those other insurance businesses I'd be upset about the health care insurance companies' horrible record if only for the PR effect on insurance generally.

It makes as much sense as their screeching that the illegal immigrants have put hospitals out of business, because the hospitals are forced to treat them and they can not pay. PLAIN AND SIMPLE INSURANCE COMPANYS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MANY HOSPITALS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. HOSPITALS WERE BUILT TO TREAT PATENTS. INSURANCE COMPANYS STOPPED PAYING MOST IN HOSPITAL TREATMENT AND WOULD PAY ONLY OUT-PATENT SURGERYS, DELIVERIES ETC. USUALLY CAUSING THE PATENT MORE PROBLEMS IN THE LONG RUN.

As opposed to fact that for-profit insurance companies...

      ALREADY DO EXACTLY THIS!!

Its easy for Rush to say this garbage... from his point of view... its real simple for him to speak ill of that which he knows would be good!

As for you Leftym0m79 ... that's darn funny... and true!

And where did this "man-child Obama" crap come from? If you evaluate emotional development, Rush, Obama is more mature than you can ever hope to be.

Here he is with it last August:

LIMBAUGH: It's — you know, it's just — it's just we can't hit the girl. I don't care how far feminism's saying, you can't hit the girl, and you can't — you can't criticize the little black man-child. You just can't do it, 'cause it's just not right. It's not fair. He's such a victim.
