If it weren't for "the government" Joe the Plumber would not have gotten his 15 minutes. The fact that his life is a comic train wreck is his own fault. Party of personal resposabilitiy, Glenn? Freedom to fail, no saftely net needed? Sound familiar to you, you cereberal sh!tstain?

And I think Sarah Palin has done for more to destroy the gov't than the gov't has done to destroy here. How you can argue the opposite and not be on 'ludes is beyond me. But that's just thier nonsensical up-is-downinsm again. Hitler was a liberal, Obama is a facsist, the LEFT is anti-semetic.

They have not one brain among them.

There's a longer line of people destroying the government.

Idiot how on earth did the government destroy these nuts? Wonder how Palin feels hearing she's destroyed isn't that an insult to her?

You're right. Palin and Not-Joe the Not-a-Plumber did more to attempt to destroy the Government than the Government ever did to destroy them.

Joe the Plumber? Please. Because of his 15 minutes of fame, he's still raking in some good cash because of his one question of Obama. He was the republican party darling for several months. Yeah, the government "ruined" him.

As far as I know. Palin is still governor of Alaska, and the republicans still love her. OK, sure, "ruined" again.

Walpin? The guy got fired for not doing his job.

      Beck, you're an idiot.

You want to talk about government ruining people's lives, let's talk about McCarthy. Let's talk about the republicans who tried Clinton for impeachment (not clinton, Lewinsky's life was pretty much ruined because of that). Plame? And so on and so forth.

I'm still confused how the government "destroyed" the car dealerships. If the government hadn't bailed out Chrysler and GM, wouldn't there be even more dealerships closing?

Good point. Also the govt didn't choose which dealerships to close.

Jeez...I was not aware that David Letterman was an instrument of the U.S. Government. Anyway, Glenn, what exactly do you mean when you tell your viewers thay have to "stand up"? Stand up how? Do what, exactly? Remove the Obama menace in some way? The next Presidential election is almost four years away, Glenn. What do you propose your viewers do about Obama until then, Glenn? We'd like to know, Glenn.

When he says "Take back your Country" I think you scary, dangerous little prick. What did you guys think about his interview with President Saakashvili of Georgia in May? The smug, arrogant sneaky way he implied that President Obama could not be trusted hen asked him "how can you be sure he will not side with Russia and throw you under the bus?" No one made an issue of it. I found it outrageous and if not then very close to treason. Phony creep cries for his country yet tells unstable countries not to trust our president. We know what he wants.

Come on, they don't even check facts for their programs. But they seem to lean towards beauty queens, former alcoholics, college dropouts, and anyone else who is willing to chew up the craziest stuff and spit it out at the viewers (or the guests, in O'Reilly's case).
Oh, and conservatives. Except for their few token "liberals"... who still lean more to the right.

Just look how the government destroyed her, though. She was a high school cheerleader/ beauty pageant runner-up/ tv sportscaster... - her future held unlimited possibilities. Then the government jumped in (or rather, she jumped in the government), and after that it's mayor, then governor, then v.p. candidate...

How could anyone not feel bad seeing such a promising future gone to waste like that.

Sarah Palin destroyed herself (and continues to do so, requesting secrecy in her ethics hearings in Alaska) , Letterman is a TV show host(not a government agent), the Joe the Plumber bit showed how Joe was totally wrong about the taxes (and I guarantee he made makes more money now then he did before, working as a plumbers assistant) ,the entire board requested Walpin be replaced, and frankly the rest of it seemed like an ad in favor of Obama! Does Beck disagree that we are the United States of America, not just a collection of states?

half of those examples were not even government sponsored... I think Beck is becoming a conspiracy theorist... everything is government sponsored.

And to put Joe The Plumber on there is absolutely ridiculous... the guy lied about being a plumber, about buying a business... he was just trying to get on TV, which he succeeded, thanks to the Republican party who made him a hero??

Beck is a moron... the Republicans have to wake up and realize that most of America disagrees with you and there is a reason that they are becoming the shrinking party that is soon to go the way of the Whigs.

The larger point about Joe the "Plumber" is that, even if the scenario he laid out were true, he was basically whining that he might have to pay about $900 a year in extra taxes.

Now, show me a man who is going to quibble over $900 when his income is expected to rise from $40,000 to $280,000, and I'll show you a fool.

When the biggest company expense is the CEO's pay & benefits and they begrudge a union wage or benefits to their workers, hire out of country labor where they practically get free labor, get all the government breaks & kick backs, put U.S. manufacturing companies and workers out of business, use government bail-out money to first pay themselves big bonuses for running the company into the ground & order more corporate jets, Justify their obscene income while denying the little guy everything and resent what little taxes in-comparison they do pay. Yet they have poor slobs like Jo the Plumber who will probably never own anything fighting their fight for them so they can continue this outrageous behavior. Yeah Jo the Plumber is a clueless fool because he votes for and supports the very thing and the very people that are defeating him.

Sorry this is a brain fog day for me. I know this can be worded better & that must be the longest sentence in history.lol

Sarah Palin has been destroyed by our govt? How so? Last time I checked she was still Gov of Alaska and still the poster girl for the Republican party. How is that being detroyed? And Joe the Plumber parlayed an ignorant question based on a lie into an almost career as a "journalist" and commentator (and didn't he have a record coming out?) How is that being destroyed? And what does the govt have to do with any of it?

Pathetic, empty argument by Beck. Not a single example was even slightly compelling. I'm ok with having the opposition present valid complaints - there are some out there -- but this is pure nonsense wrapped in dramatic music and graphics. Beck needs to do more homework or just go home.

What does the government need to do for you? Promise you everything you could every need? Why not do it for yourself Im sure most people get a sense of self accomplishment when doing something on there own.....You know what I want to government to do for me leave along and stop spending my tax dollars like sand in Egypt. Or maybe they just want all my money so they can tell me what to buy.

Ummm....David Letterman, The New York Times, and people who voted for Barack Obama are not "the government" by any stretch of the imagination. Sure, Letterman shouldn't have made that joke, and those Obama supporters shouldn't have overreacted, but to imply that Barack Obama is trying to crush those who oppose him through others (which is what Beck seems to be implying) is insanity.

And the New York Times Joe the Plumber story is an example of them doing exactly what they were supposed to: reporting on the news (granted Samuel Wurzelbacher probably wasn't that important, but hey, ratings).
