That can't be true...Sean Hannity says there is nothing wrong with our health care system. In fact, he says, it's the best in the world. And, of course, FOX News presents only real journalism so you know what he says must be true. <sarcasm>

Actually, our "for profit" health insurance (sic) firms will also tell wealthy women with breast cancer, "You're dead" by *denying* coverage for
        1) pre-existing conditions, or
        2) even supposition of pre-existing condition if you've had a family member with breast cancer, or
        3) even if you've previously been misdiagnosed with a false positive for breast cancer.

My wife had 3) occur, and she thinks 2) is true for her maternal grandmother, but her mother was orphaned and adopted so she doesn't know.

Regardless, she can't get coverage for breast cancer at what I would can reasonable rates.

Hell, forget treatment my wife because of her age -- and she has insurance through the state agency she works for -- went to get a mammogram. A "preventative" or "diaognostic" measure. However, we ended up paying for it -- which is fine we can afford it -- because she is not eligible for a digitial mammogram -- which is all they are offering in our area.

Private health insurance is failing to insure anything but its own profits -- it is time to bury that monster and it lies. And if it crawls out of its grave we should bury it again.

All the best to you and your family at this trying time Wolf.

The thumbs down rating given to most of the comments in this thread says volumes about the mindset of our resident, right wing trolls.

You criticized Hannity's lack of compassion and give an example of how a loved one's illness is devastating your family and the unknown coward offers no encouragement, no compassion, no understanding, just a thumbs down rating.

I'm starting to believe that we've passed the fail safe point as a civilization. There's no hope for an America in which empathy and compassion exists on just one side of the political isle.

Yes...in fact the YOU'RE DEAD! letters have already been printed. Except of course, members of ACORN and Obama's biggest contributors will get extra special cancer treatment...and will be flown in Nancy Pelosi's luxury jet wherever they need to go for treatment. Those preferred few will also be afforded privileged stem cell treatment...with fresh stem cells harvested from cloned babies. And Barack Obama will laugh at the common people who will die...because that has been his secret plan all along...to kill Americans...because he HATES America...and he's a Muslim, too...and doesn't have a birth certificate...and his wife is angry...and she hates America, too... Brrruuuuuhahahahahaha...

Naw, ACORN is busy messing with the Census and registering the residents of various cemeteries to vote to keep The Messiah around in 2012.

But I don't know why the Soros machine is so upset over what Hannity said, because Obama must seem to want to turn a voting bloc that is up for grabs (living people) and have them become one of his most reliable voting groups (the deceased).

I appreciate that guarding America's cemetary's from the depredations of the Dratted Acorn will be a further drain on Wingnut Nation, what with the continuing manpower drain of protecting american women from themselves, attending stadium filling teabagger events, and barricading the ever appearing entrances to the slippery slopes leading to Socialism. Still I know you'll all man up to face this new festering boil of liberal depredation of the Amercans already dead in the service of their country.

Do you know the difference between voter fraud and VOTER REGISTRATION FRAUD? Dumb A--, maybe the folks registering people to vote were padding the cards they turned in because they got paid for the number of registrations they got. However that has nothing to do with whom actually got to vote. How is a dead person going to show identification before they vote. I know how it all actually works in the real world, is way above anything you are capable of comprehending.

Do you think that facts about the slimy Republicans only belong to MMfA? If not, then why would you claim that Olbermann has to get his info from MMfA? It's not like Media Matters invents stuff out of thin air, after all. They gather info. Just like news organizations gather info. Do you think that the 10 o'clock news programs steal from the 6 pm news programs of their rivals? Of course they don't. All of the TV stations in your city gather the newsworthy stories and broadcast them, and many times they will duplicate their stories. It doesn't mean they steal from them.

I caught a piece of Hannity's radio show on Friday? and Bernie Goldberg was dressing him down for complaining about everything President Obama does and thereby distracting from important issues. Totally agree...
The health insurance companies are so emboldened, they know they have the votes in their pockets bought and paid for...

When asked if they would change their policy on "rescission" which is their way of "cherry picking" those who actually get sick and need health car, out of the system in order in increase profits, all three insurance executives stood before congress and the American people and said, "No"

        Shameless.

We already have rationing. My wife has had three operations to remove tumors. She has several lumps which the doctors are "watching" We pay about $1,600.00 per month on our company health insurance plan for the two of us. She is 57 and I am 67. Her doctors are constantly fighting and usually losing battles with the insurance company to get permission to do various tests and procedures. We would like to retire and sell our company, but we can't because if we do, we lose her insurance and probably can't get new insurance. We've both worked all our lives for the government, large corporations or for our own corporation. How can anyone claim that our health care system is the best in the world? Sean is either stupid or selfish.

I live in Connecticut, we, and Long Island (where Hannity lives) have the highest rates of breast cancer in country. I am your wife's age, and after menopause the risk increases.

The media like FOX (and others) are attempting to handle the health care debate as they have done other issues such as the war and economy. However, the are in danger of really losing their audience because many people have had or know of someone that has had a bad experience with health insurance issues.

When Sean and Rush play the kind of games with facts they have typically done (denying there is a health care problem and using the threat of denied care under a "socialized system"), they may find it is not working so well. They could get by with this on Iraq since most people did not have a direct stake in the war (relatives or friends getting killed), and with the economy (so diverse and uncontrollable most people have no idea about fixing it).

However, people understand when they or someone they know have to pay much more money for their health care, even if they have good insurance. They hear about friends or relatives getting denied care. This is something that is clear, has become a widespread problem, and is making people mad.

Having FOX news people like Sean make these kinds of statements just don't move people (even the FOX regular viewers) anymore. The polls clearly show a very large majority of people want a public plan Current Poll

People will still watch FOX news, but I suspect FOX will start losing viewers if they really push hard against a public plan.

I'd like to know why Fox continues to do their version of yelling fire in a crowded theater on a daily basis.
Since when are these pundits right about anything?
Apparently, they love the current health care system since they can actually pay for it.
I was homeless in Las Vegas and needed to go to a hospital.
Ambulance ride? 750.00 plus mileage. 2 miles, by the way.
Hospital emergency room? Over 2400.00. 1 and a half hours.
They charged, for example, for a single tablet of Ibuprofen at 250.00.
5 years later, a collection agency tried to shake me down on my SSI income to pay this outrageous extortion system they call "health care".
I'll take a system that actually puts me and others like me on top and treats us instead of the monstrosity we have now.

        $$$$$$$$$$$$
Rupert Murdoch is in it for the money, period. The moment he realizes his hard right tinfoil brigade is generating less in advertising than ads for real Americans will be the moment Fox will change formats and editorial stance. Murdoch is a quite pragmatic capitalist.
