Hannity fear-mongering on health care: Gov't rationing body will "tell women with breast cancer, 'you're dead' "

From the June 19 edition of Fox News' Hannity:
Hannity acknowledges "there is some truth" to assertion that insurance companies are rationing now

The other right-wing media mogul you should worry about
Palin's book and Obama's bow: a media week to forget
Media Matters: The Palin chronicles

1) pre-existing conditions, or
2) even supposition of pre-existing condition if you've had a family member with breast cancer, or
3) even if you've previously been misdiagnosed with a false positive for breast cancer.
My wife had 3) occur, and she thinks 2) is true for her maternal grandmother, but her mother was orphaned and adopted so she doesn't know.
Regardless, she can't get coverage for breast cancer at what I would can reasonable rates.
Best wishes to Wolf's sister-in-law and her family. Too few of us come to the end of our lives with satisfied warm smiles on our faces.
Private health insurance is failing to insure anything but its own profits -- it is time to bury that monster and it lies. And if it crawls out of its grave we should bury it again.
The thumbs down rating given to most of the comments in this thread says volumes about the mindset of our resident, right wing trolls.
You criticized Hannity's lack of compassion and give an example of how a loved one's illness is devastating your family and the unknown coward offers no encouragement, no compassion, no understanding, just a thumbs down rating.
I'm starting to believe that we've passed the fail safe point as a civilization. There's no hope for an America in which empathy and compassion exists on just one side of the political isle.
But I don't know why the Soros machine is so upset over what Hannity said, because Obama must seem to want to turn a voting bloc that is up for grabs (living people) and have them become one of his most reliable voting groups (the deceased).
Proof?
Hannity preaches to those most in need of universal healthcare and his audience eats it up.
How sad!
By his own logic, should we not then award a medal to President Obama, since we have not been attacked by two hundred foot long, flying Squids?
Of course, that excludes when he and that creepy Musto "guy" make sexist jokes about women.
2. Examples?
3. Your ability to say true things got lost where?
You would think that Sean would stay away from health care since he did so well in Florida in 2005 with the Schiavo thing. The NYU drop-out can be taught.

And not one single network in the "liberal media" covered this story for one single second.
The health insurance companies are so emboldened, they know they have the votes in their pockets bought and paid for...
When asked if they would change their policy on "rescission" which is their way of "cherry picking" those who actually get sick and need health car, out of the system in order in increase profits, all three insurance executives stood before congress and the American people and said, "No"
Shameless.
Mr. News
Hannity is just plain stupid and amazingly ignorant. I have the same problem your wife has. Blessedly, my tumors (since the age of twenty-one - I have had three removed) have been benign, my doctors have had to fight for my care.
I live in Connecticut, we, and Long Island (where Hannity lives) have the highest rates of breast cancer in country. I am your wife's age, and after menopause the risk increases.
Hannity is an ignorant, mean jerk.
When Sean and Rush play the kind of games with facts they have typically done (denying there is a health care problem and using the threat of denied care under a "socialized system"), they may find it is not working so well. They could get by with this on Iraq since most people did not have a direct stake in the war (relatives or friends getting killed), and with the economy (so diverse and uncontrollable most people have no idea about fixing it).
However, people understand when they or someone they know have to pay much more money for their health care, even if they have good insurance. They hear about friends or relatives getting denied care. This is something that is clear, has become a widespread problem, and is making people mad.
Having FOX news people like Sean make these kinds of statements just don't move people (even the FOX regular viewers) anymore. The polls clearly show a very large majority of people want a public plan Current Poll
People will still watch FOX news, but I suspect FOX will start losing viewers if they really push hard against a public plan.
Since when are these pundits right about anything?
Apparently, they love the current health care system since they can actually pay for it.
I was homeless in Las Vegas and needed to go to a hospital.
Ambulance ride? 750.00 plus mileage. 2 miles, by the way.
Hospital emergency room? Over 2400.00. 1 and a half hours.
They charged, for example, for a single tablet of Ibuprofen at 250.00.
5 years later, a collection agency tried to shake me down on my SSI income to pay this outrageous extortion system they call "health care".
I'll take a system that actually puts me and others like me on top and treats us instead of the monstrosity we have now.
You ask why does Fox do what they do?
$$$$$$$$$$$$
Rupert Murdoch is in it for the money, period. The moment he realizes his hard right tinfoil brigade is generating less in advertising than ads for real Americans will be the moment Fox will change formats and editorial stance. Murdoch is a quite pragmatic capitalist.
Hannity's fighting a losing battle.
