The protest are getting ugly over there the last thing the media needs is to be accused of false reporting. The last thing the elected politicians needs is to have their opinions taken out of context as it would incite more unnecessary problems. The President is right the last thing US needs is to be used as a forum for either side.

John McCain may be an American hero, but he is not a critical thinker.

If John McCain had been President during the Cuban missile crisis it would have meant Armageddon.

Old "lost his bearings" McCain... right, we need his opinion about IRAN... I can just see it now, him chattering away mindlessly in public, about what's going on in IRAN, and he misspeaks yet again, and refers to those "sunnis" in IRAN (remember when he repeatedly confused, in his age addled mind, the simple difference between Iranian Shia and Iraqi sunni), and then the old man's attendants, either Sen. Graham or Sen. Lieberman, would have to whisper in the old man's ear... remember that?

McCain should stick to things he knows about, whatever they are.

Also, what's being talked about here in the video clip, about reckless public comments from US Officials, firing up some political minority or opposition in Iran, just to necessarily leave them hanging in the wind, because what are we going to do, invade Iran just to save face because we shot our mouths off?

This matter is what the movie 'Three Kings' is in part about... it's about the first George Bush firing up Iraqis to oppose saddam, and when saddam started mowing down that opposition, George Bush (the first) simply said "oops, I guess I shouldn't have shot my big mouth off like that", which in that movie (which is a very well told fiction) had the Iraqis who followed Bush's rhetoric (and getting themselves killed in the process) streaming to the Iranian border, as refugees...

A cool movie, see it if you already haven't...

John McCain, a hot-headed old man who has lost his bearings... pay no attention to him on this subject matter.

Good to see Pat recognizing that the Neo-con views are contrary to true conservatism. Conservatives should want *RESTRTAINT* and caution in foreign affairs, not constant adventuristic efforts to "spread democracy" all over the world.
