So, what's your point Weiner-Savage? Are you attempting to advocate more reich-wing teabag terrorism against Americans, like they effectively do over at Faux?

This on the same day we learn that Hal Turner has been indicted for threatening government officials, publishing their phone numbers and work addresses.

It is a very fine line of difference. Savage and his ilk have no shame, and no moral standing.

On this same show, Ed Schultz also made a couple of good points about the ongoing efforts to offer Public Health Insurance to the American People...

He said that if President Obama, who obviously wants to offer this 'public option' to Americans, if he were to 'cave' (I believe Ed said 'cave'), and compromise and abandon the 'public option', he said he thought President Obama was risking being a one term President as a result...

      It's true.

I wouldn't have framed it that way, but it's true... these polls that show 70 plus percent of the American People wanting the option of Public Health Insurance, they do not of course include any measure of how strong those people feel about it... sure, more than 7 out of every ten Americans is quite a super-majority, but it doesn't measure how much they think Public Health Insurance would do for them and their families... those 70 plus percent Americans feel really strong about this, and they're knowledgeable about it, they have been for a long time, for a long time they've felt gouged and taken advantage of by private health insurers, and they want this...

I don't know about a one term Presidency, but I can say this much for sure :the extraordinary political capital the President presently has with the American People, an almost "can do no wrong" reputation...

It'll take a nosedive with those Americans (and again, recall we're talking about more than 70 percent of Americans), it'll erode and President Obama will be swiftly transformed in the hearts and minds of those Americans, from a "can do no wrong" champion of them, into just another compromising Democrat in Washington DC...

      It's true.

The other thing Ed made a point of, was when he noted this 'compromise' issue to Sen. Durbin, and asked him why Senate Democrats can't stand their ground and fight for this (again, they'd have more than seventy percent of Americans behind them), and Sen. Durbin did indeed indicate he and they would compromise, when he effectively said that by the end of the day they'd have to pass some type of reform, and if it meant making a 'bi-partisan compromise' then so be it...

But Ed then asked, why not fight all the way to the 2010 elections, and put the fire to those Republicans who stand in the way, and have those 70 plus percent Americans fire those Republicans from the Senate in 2010... why not fight that way, and win, why instead shrink and compromise just for the sake of saying "at least we passed something"... yeah right, something that more than 7 in ten Americans say is not enough!

Anyway, two true points Ed made, one about how much political capital President Obama stands to lose in this matter, and the other about how Senate Democrats can fight this thing all the way to the next election, and grab more seats in the Senate, the world won't come to an end in the meantime, we 70 plus percenters can wait until the next election, and fire a few more Republicans from the U.S. Senate...

This cowardly spineless compromising tendency of Senate Democrats is likely to be the straw that breaks their own backs, and gets them fired from the Senate... their political instincts are wrong on this issue, and Ed's are right... the polls don't lie, and at the same time they don't include the strength of feeling those 70 plus percent of Americans have on this issue.

Every single senator that votes against it should have to forfeit their government provided Health-Care immediately. Fools Why should tax payers have to pay for the senators Health-Care when they begrudge the same for the rest of us.

True we do put the acid into the equation for the Hairy Weiner.
I'm all for it. The wolves have been listless since The Eighthday Extremist's stopped coming arround. This would also give me an excuse to redecorate the dungeon so that I can entertain new aquaintences in a proper setting.

yes they should. Savage probably hopes there is another nut like the one that planned to take out everyone Goldberg listed in his book. I'm sure he is counting on it and of course they are out there.

Maybe if Savage and other conservative radio/television hosts would check their facts every once in a while before spewing their babble over the airwaves while also refraining from making bigoted remarks several times a segment they would not have to worry about being "harassed" by Media Matters. Always the victim, the right-wingers are.
