So Obama somehow had something to do with an affair that Sanford said had been going on for a year?

Sanford simply wanted to "enjoy life" because the country is being destroyed?

I guess a man who can't hold down a marriage would know a lot about "enjoying life."

I guess all that Bush-era rapture talk wasn't enough to urge Sanford into infidelity. It was the Obamas' date night that pushed him over the edge.

I still want to live in a parallel universe and see what would have been told to the public by Sanford had the reporter from THE STATE not been staking out the flight from Argentina in the Atlanta airport.

The newspaper had the emails for months, but they hadn't done anything with them. If there hadn't been clear evidence that he had been out of the country, in Argentina where his lover lived, would we have ever heard about it.

And that's the problem with Republicans. As long as it's not public, they don't seem to care. Senator Tom Coburn knew about Senator John Ensign's affair in February, 2008, but he did nothing. If Ensign had to resign his leadership position in the Republican Party when his affair became public, because his affair showed that he couldn't lead the party, then Coburn should have insisted on his resignation 16 months ago.

But Coburn did not. So, it's not about the Republicans living to a higher moral standard. It's about pandering to their base.

        And that makes them hypocrites.

We're talking "scary black man" with a TITLE, Snoop.

Face it - we're at war. A war to maintain our traditional America. And sometimes during war, men need to kiss their wives goodbye, leave their families and travel to foreign lands to fight for the country they love.

Nobody wants to think that their relationships back stateside might suffer. They try not to think of it when they're doing their jobs in the jungle, or on the trail, or in the hot tub. But it's there. They ignore it, agree to the possibility of sacrifice, and concentrate on the job that needs to get done. Unprotected, they risk their own personal safety as they bravely mount an onslaught, perhaps their second of the evening. Tired, but pushing onward until they finally get that single shot; perhaps it's the one that keeps you in the lifestyle to which you've become accustomed.

Sanford doesn't deserve your derision. He deserves your commendation. He put his whole life and career on the line for you. And you have the temerity to call him spineless?

Sometimes I wonder if we deserve heroes like Gov. Sanford.

This issue with Sanford shows up just how weak the Dems are when it comes to commenting on the issue. As a strong supporter of the President I am shocked when I hear people like James Carville expressing his fond feelings for Mark Sanford. I find him to be extremely weak on all issues since President Obama took office. Where's the person who stood behind Bill Clinton. It just seems that there are no network people standing up strong for the Obama administration. Send flowers to Mark Sanford if you want, but there are many of us out here that are dissapointed in the Democratic talking heads, who seem scared to put it on the line for the American people.

Supposedly, liberals are weak, limp-wristed painty-waists, and conservatives are tough-as-nails ass-kickers. Here's what's funny to me: We liberals endured eight years of mounting fascism under Dubya, but the conservatives didn't last eight months before governors of whole states were talking about secession!

And Rush, at some half a million dollars a week in earning (approx.) is all sad and unhappy because the people who believe in starting wars for profit, raping the environment, and taxing the poor to make the wealthy even more rich were, for SOME REASON, voted out of power? As whiny as he is, could it be Rush is a closet liberal?

So, if I'm disappointed about my financial future by my work's lousy 401K plan, it's their fault if I decide to enjoy my money while I have it by going out and buying half a ton of weed!

Limbaugh claims Sanford fought against the stimulus money, NOT TRUE - he wanted to use the money to offset the state's budget deficit. As a potential presidential candidate in 2012, being the governor one of the few states with a balanced budget would have been a GREAT platform.

Sometimes I listen to Rush to try to figure out what it is that his audience finds valuable in his show, but I always come up empty handed, and ultimately I get very worried that people in this great country of ours can be stupid enough to believe anything that he says and even consider him a political leader. I wonder if this is a failure of our educational system, because it doesn't take much knowledge to come to the conclusion that Rush Limbaugh is a moron.
