Rock and Roll may not be noise pollution, but I'm starting to wonder if Rush Limbaugh is trying to qualify...

Hey, Limbaugh, is there anything that's good with this country? You really sound like a miserable person, Rush. Perhaps there are drugs your doctor can give you for that.

Clearly you have no clue or grasp of reality other than the hateful, vile, nonsense that spews from Drugbaugh's mouth.

Clearly, you have no clue about which you speak. I have listened to Limbaugh, off and on, for about 15 years. And I've heard enough of him to know that most of what spews forth from his drug-addled brain is pure, malicious fabrication.

I was forced to listen to hours and hourse of this drivel for years, and I agree with Irony 100%. And I'm refering to him 10-15 years ago - when he was almost GOOD at what he did! (Or there was a "perverse grandeur" to it - as I believe Keith Olbermann described it.)

There is nothing good about this country under any democrat in power. Somehow this behemoth and others equate democracs with liberals and fan the hate for the United States current government, the only place in the world that would permit a 40 million dollar a year salary to fan the populace against same government.

This appeal to anyone and everyone that couldn't pass basic chemistry is evidence of either how desperate Limbaugh is getting, how stupid he thinks his audience is, how stupid they actually are, or how stupid he actually is.

There is nothing more offensive about this man than his exploitation and encouragement of ignorance.

        Exactly.

I spend so much time as it is making sure correct information regarding Science (Bio, Chem, Physics, Earth/Space, etc) gets into the minds of adolescents, and then I turn around and hear garbage like this coming out of adults.

I absolutely loathe hearing ignorant gasbags get basic Science wrong. And then using it to peddle propaganda.

            Thank you!

While I am not aware of any teenagers I work with listening to Rush, the similar things he and others say that manage to make it to TV and newspaper headlines really sticks with them. 12-yr-olds getting into screaming matches with each other over global warming/cooling or its nonexistence, 15-yr-olds arguing with fossils... You can't just tell people anymore what is or isn't true. You have to get past what misinformation is being shouted at them, and be very creative so it overrides the lies.

Have them take a look at this: http://www.skepdic.com/contents.html

There are gret sections on "climate change skeptics", "creation science", "intelligent design" and tons on basic critical thinking skills including a run down on the scientific method, the "divine falacy" and many other logical falacies and faults of those who accept what they should quetsion. Examples of how to do proper research, how to analyse data...

TONS of good stuff. It's the closest thing I have to a bible. HIGHLY recommended reading for all.

There are a lot of great resources out there... though, unfortunately, aren't as appealing to adolescents as social networking sites.
                <a href="http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=15-answers-to-creationist">15 answers to creationist nonsense</a>

It's a challenge, but always rewarding when it gets through to them. It's endlessly frustrating to hear hopeless whackjobs like Limbaugh... we just have to look at him and the others like the dinosaurs they are, and hope that mentality dies off eventually.

                The only constant is change!

The more Rush talks the more he exhibits his ignorance.
      To quote the IPCC charter...

Climate change is a very complex issue: policymakers need an objective source of information about the causes of climate change, its potential environmental and socio-economic consequences and the adaptation and mitigation options to respond to it. This is why WMO and UNEP established the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 1988.

Wait.. never mind.. we should just listen to Rush <<exhale>>
