One of the more disjointed rants I've heard. Not one point made or argued in the whole thing.

Sean Hannity - stupidest man to ever be given a microphone.
Glenn Beck - craziest man to ever be given a microphone.

Just a note. "Presently" means "soon," not "at the present time."

I think that good Ol'Glennie is the one exposing himself as wicked, greedy, and treasonous...but hey, I am just a liberal, so I guess that makes me one of the dumbest people on earth, at least to him. But, considering the source, that isn't such a bad thing.

Nearly everyone on his list "that will benefit from the bill" just shot down his whole theory. Lunatic..."I don't think that counts" "he's a big loser in this" Gees he actually picked up on at least one that would not benefit.
Glenn you forgot to mention That Peabody Coal contributed $250,000 to the Conservative Party 527 Group to fight Cap & Trade. Lets see your list of big polluters that are fighting Cap & Trade that benefit from it not passing.
Your boss Rupert Murdoch has been in bed with Communist China's Leaders for years so why would anyone expect them to be for anything he's not.

Ok...I could only stomach about 3 minutes of that. From the sound of it, Glenn is just p!ssed because Democrats were smart enough to invest in a clean energy when all of the Republicans were still selling their souls to Big Oil.

Funny I thought it was the people who want to spew uncontrolled amounts of harmfull chemicals in to the air just to maintain or increase their profits that were greedy and wicked.

PERFECT! I have said for years the way to make big money is the willingness to to be a mouth piece for someone with money & a format. The willingness to shamelessly lie and the willingness to make a big fat ass of yourself 24-7.

Beck's defensive reaction to the whole China/India issue is meant to bring the listener's attention back to the States. That's why he ends with the buzzwords (Liberty, Constitution, etc.).

What Beck's listeners don't know is that China and India represent the biggest threats to the environment today. Beck's talking about India like it needs to raise itself out of poverty; it already is doing so. The problem is that it's doing so in the direction that the West did. The same goes for China. And that's a problem. Between the two nations, they hold almost half of the world's population. If they all suburbanize, that means a lot more traffic-jammed commuters, which will worsen the pollution problem beyond repair. Progress must not include the same mistakes that were made in North America.

The governor was advocating a global approach to a global pollution problem. Solving the pollution problem in the West will require drastic societal adjustments. The governor was saying that if China and India are not brought on board, then any sacrifices that America makes will be rendered completely meaningless.

Also, if Beck thinks the debt to China is so bad, then he should tell people to start checking for country-of-manufacture or just plain stop shopping at Walmart.

Umm we just had a president that is in a family of oil tycoons and was previously one who blocked pretty much every idea to get us off of oil and the gas prices sky rocketed under him....under becks theory this is one hundred percent doing favors and using policy to help your wallet. I can't believe that he just called Bush a greedy treasonous politician.

Beck's rant on "some" cap and trade supporters: "dumbest people" to walk Earth, "greedy," "wicked," "treasonous"

The House of Representatives Friday approved a milestone energy and climate change bill that would curb greenhouse gasses omitted by industry and agriculture.

      The vote was 219-212.
At least eight Republicans sided with Democrats on the plan
I got this tidbit from fox website

I see that Beck reads my blogs, his vocabulary is growing. I do deem it neccessary to apply the semetism in the appropriate context and to the appropriate persons. I do say.

You can whine all you want about Beck and others but does anyone here care about the issue? We are in a recission and the destructive legislation will cost us all with little or no enviromental benefits.
According to the UN, without Waxman-Markey the warming from 1990 to 2050 would be 2.8ºF, and 5.3º by 2100. (Of course, observed warming since 1990 is running about 40 percent below the expected rate, largely because there hasn't been any net warming since the very warm year of 1998.)

If the U.S. only adopts Waxman-Markey, global warming would be reduced by a grand total of 0.2ºF by 2100. This is too small to even detect, because global temperatures bounce around by about this amount every year. For those who like to think more near-term, the amount of warming prevented by 2050 would be 0.07 of a degree.
You tell me if this is the time when we are in a recession and losing jobs every day to pass any legeslation that would cost more job and add energy cost to all.
I think the whole bill is a farce. And I think the Congress who Voted yes on this bill are idiots.
