I hadn't heard she took the title from Eleanor Roosevelt.

No, no, no. Elenor Roosevelt was merely the most unfortunate looking. Not the worst dressed.

I should have made clear that my remark was intended as a roasting of someone I have great respect for, unlike the Savage Weiner's remark toward Mrs. Obama.

Also agreed, Pete. She was wonderful, and the right hated her for it. I especially loved her resignation from the DAR when they refused to let Marion Anderson sing at Constitution Hall.

You're a very nice guy, Eddie, but she didn't do herself any favors with the way she dressed. Of course, my memories of her don't go back to her time in the White House, so I could be wrong. I do remember some very silly hats.

Fair enough, but silly hats were all the rage at some point, no? LOL.

She was a truly amazing individual, and the right not only hated for it then, but continues to mock her now, to try and diminisher he legacy - just as they do to her husband. Try as they might, they will never be able to make them into Barbara Bush and her son.

As to the fashion icons of the day... give me Amelia Earhardt any day. There's just something about a Red-Headed tomboy in a bomber jacket and pilot's goggles. (Even if she was just another typical woman driver.)

(I'm so kidding about that last bit!)

No, no, no. Hannity would only say that three days later, after everyone on the left, two people on the right and one of his sponsors got all up in arms about it. I said I was kidding RIGHT AWAY - something he never has the requisite wit to do, whether he's actually kidding or not. :)

I'm not so sure that anyone who looks and dresses and talks like Michael Savage should comment on anyone's clothes. And I'm not so sure that anyone as hateful and messed up as Michael Savage should comment on anyone as messed up as Michael Jackson. If it was the day after his death, would anyone notice? Would anyone have anything positive to say? At least Jackson left some beautiful music and fantasic dancing behind.

All the other girls show up at the bar as Marilyn Monroe, or Judy Garland. Savageweiner was unique - and saved a lot of prep time - with his "first lady" theme, but NOW he has to shave his shoulders anyway. I can understand why he's a little upset.

I really don't like to play the race card (it's easy to do when you're black like me), but the undertones can't be ignored. It isn't blatant, but it's there.

Rasta, Michelle hasn't yet received the How A BLACK First Lady Should Dress handbook. This ignorant ass stole this theme from that mess Ann Coulter...."your no Jackie-O Michelle." so now I'm sure all of them will run with it.

It's not the fashion critique cited in the title of this post that I find ludicrous...it's the contention that Michael Jackson's death is yet ANOTHER distraction created by Obama and the Democrats. This guy is a piece of work!

BUT DON'T STOP TALKING, MIKE!!! We love, love, LOVE what you're doing to the Republican Party and the conservative movement!! Every little bit of credibility demolishing helps. And you've been a BIG help!!

I think savage likes to wear his dress with sleeves whenever he goes out on the town. He would pull a Michelle and go bare arms but he doesn't have the figure.

Weiner is just doing what many on the right do...if they can't find something wrong with a liberal female they just go to looks. (not to be confused with fox news' need to reinforce the dumb blond stereotype which usually isn't true fox just tips the scale purposely)

I just think he's mad because she's completely out of his league.lol

I don't know, maybe we're not giving Mr. Weiner enough credit when it comes to his knowledge of fashion. Just like Paris Hilton Mr. Weiner is almost never seen without that most important accessory the tiny dog. I believe that the dog is the only thing that can stand being around this hateful scumbag but hey that's just my opinion. What a sad little man.

Fashion critic? No, Mike just hates Obama and Mrs. Obama and anybody who has allowed the corporate machinery of the MSM which elected the empty suit who's acting as president.
Obama is the reason Iranians are being killed.
Obama takes a cocktail of drugs, mostly pain-killers everyday to make it through the day.
Obama has let the lawyers run wild destroying the health care system.

He's actually said all of the above. And he wonders why the UK won't let him visit.

And he should be commenting on that other show, where the men concern themselves with fashion for the straight guy. The First Lady is always appropriate and she has not had to spend 8000 on a dress to look good in it. I don't think she re-furnished the White House at the Taxpayer dollar either. The First Lady is conservative in style, cost, and policy. She can afford to dress however spectacular she chooses. Watch all of the other women in America who imitate her style. And when did men become fashion critiques Boo? Snap, Snap, Snap!
