Rush wants a military coup against Obama?

... or have I misread this?

Let's see, Limbaugh wants the same thing to happen here. Does that include the top leftist getting slain by rightwingers?

yeah, he is the new self appointed commander-in-chief of the GOP.seems ridiculous for a draft dodger behemoth to be suggesting an overturn of the currently elected government without use of the military. He would have to overturn the second amendment first for we have armed citizenry in this nation sworn to protect the Constitution by the pledge of Allegiance. Of course i never heard Mr Limbaugh pledge such allegiance so it can be argued he doesn't subscribe to such novel (?) concept.

The PoA never mentions the Constitution, only allegiance to a piece of cloth and (most importantly) the Republic it represents, with liberty and justice for those who can afford it.

      What a coincidence . . . a coup is also what many wingnuts wish would happen in Iran -- WITH the military {ours, that is}

As dreadful as George W. Bush's term as President was I never once heard liberals speak in terms of secession or overthrowing the government. To the the brain-dead people on the right, though, this was more than just losing an election because FOX and Limbaugh have convinced them that the election of Obama signals the end of America. And Limbaugh apparently derives great pleasure in stirring the pot more with his increasingly outlandish comments. Will Rush be satisfied when when one of his loser listeners takes a pot shot at Barack Obama? Because some if his listeners actually believe that the fate of America rests with eliminating Barack Obama.

That's because, at their heart, cons are not democratic. The philosophy that founded this country and placed great confidence in the wisdom of its people to vote and decided for themselves was a liberal philosophy. Remember that conservatives really believe that humans are inherently evil and liberals think that humans are inherently good. Even though we were distressed about the coup d' etat that occurred in the 2000 presidential election, we had trust that the people would right the wrong, and that's exactly what they did.

A lot of the conservative policies are aimed at proving to everyone that humans are essentially as base as they believe them to be.

        Just assassination.

"Death of a President" was a film in '06 about the assassination of G.W. Bush.

I'm willing to bet it wasn't made by conservatives.

Did that movie star...Mac A. Roni and Mea T. Ball? Directed by Lyn Guini?
It is going to shown this weekend on the new SCIFOOD Channel.
I also heard that movie was quite saucy but the acting was cheesy.

And I'm willing to bet few people found the idea in good taste.

The Texas Republican Party described the subject matter as "shocking" and "disgusting".[3] U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton, Dem., N.Y., told the Journal News of Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam counties, New York, at the annual New Castle Community Day in Chappaqua: "I think it's despicable. I think it's absolutely outrageous. That anyone would even attempt to profit on such a horrible scenario makes me sick".

And even fewer people saw it.

And, as upset as T-boned obviously was about that movie, I wonder if he was as upset at seeing Obama in the cross hairs -- literally:

It also wasn't made in the US. IMDB shows it as being a UK film. So whether it was made by conservatives or not is irrelevant, and I'm willing to bet that once again you have brought up a non-point just to try to deflect the thread away from things you can't defend that your de fecto (oops, de facto) leader has said.

You guys freaking out about that film is so silly. I SAW the movie. It isnt about why Bush SHOULD be assasinated. It isnt in any way critical OF Bush it was mostly about a fictional aftermath investigation and how that could be politically skewed and the consequences of that. It was in no way supportive of any assasination. If the same movie had been made during Clintons term or now. I wouldnt have thought twice about it.

Rush and his cronies have been endlessly exhorting about how America should be the beacon of freedom and democracy. I should have known that was conditioned on conservatives ending up in charge. If a "librul" gets in, screw freedom and democracy, and get out the guns. Gotta love their world view.

Sounds to me that Rush is egging on his listeners to take up arms against our government... for when they try it, he can laugh his $40 million a year fat-ass off while claiming he is not at fault because he is not to blame that several of his ditto-heads are loose cannons and crack-pots who can't think for themselves.

Even as bad as Shrub/Dick were... I don't recall hearing any liberals, progressives, or for that matter Democrats asking for the same thing...

Unless I'm mistaken... which I doubt I am...

Just leave Rush. And take all your right iwngers who wish this happened in America. When is the Secret Service going to have a talk with Limbaugh and show him some evidence that his rehetoric is being used as justification for violence directed towards the Presdient? I wonder how Limbaugh will react on air if he hears that an attempt has been made against Obama's life? Would he say, "if only he would have been hit"?

I want to know what was our involvement in this coup! The leader of it was trained at the school of the Americas @ Fort Benning in Georgia whose graduates have brought us the death squads in El Salvador and the murder of Arch Bishop Romero and the murder and rape of the catholic nuns and 2 lay workers, as well as murder in Chile,Argentina,Peru, just to name a few countries. For those interested here is a video on the SOA :http://www.snagfilms.com/films/watch/father_roy_inside_the_school_of_assassins/

hey Rush at best all you got in your argument is that Obama is contiuning the traditonal American (not Democrat and not GOP but AMERICAN) approach of proping up and supporting any dictator we deem good for the US and only going after those we believe to be bad for US interests

I think the only reason people see much of what as going on as dictatorial or tyrannical is the sense of entitlement that many of us have. Rushy Boy is one of the main figures in the media who stroke that "It's a free country, it's my right" sense of entitlement past what is reasonable.
