Aren't Supreme Court rulings the law of the land? Mikey, everyone has to comply with them, unless they have enough money to buy a Neoclown or two.

That's a damn strange thing to say. Maybe you should form a committee of some sort?

Well, kind of. I mean, for every case of government employees being subjected to strict enforcement of civil rights laws, there's a case of a government agency systematically violating the civil rights of citizens. Barnicle's example gets things half right: yes, when you call upon emergency employees, you don't care whether or not they've complied with the letter of equal employment opportunity laws... unless, of course, you're in a poor neighborhood or a member of a minority group, in which case you might have very good reason to be concerned about whether or not you're not being treated to equal service by those emergency workers.

Either way, it is a bit odd that Barnicle sees the strict enforcement of laws among law enforcers as a bad thing.

nice twisty-twisty there Mr barnicle. You are wrong, it is not the civil servants but in fact it is their employers. The civil servants may actually be very diverse themselves. Go back to your favorite rock, Mr Barnicle.
