Beck guest Scheuer: "The only chance we have as a country right now is" for bin Laden to "detonate a major weapon" in U.S.

From the June 30 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

Media Matters: The right-wing media's election analysis just ain't that good
The Friday Rush: For conservatives, $400 million buys defeat at the ballot box
The myth of Fox News' ratings spike|

Wow! This Scheuer really, really hates America. Wishing (and promoting?) a terrorist attack on the United States. It might be time to notify the Dept. of Homeland Security (or the man in the little white suit).
Confused yet?
I wish we could have seen more context, but I would bet that Beck hijacked his argument for different purposes. Beck's probably hoping the 'cap-and-trade', tea-bag noise he's been making is still ringing loud enough in his audience's ears that the only words they'll catch from Scheuer are 'bin Laden'. It would give Beck another way to legitimize his arguments to his audience.
And why is he appearing on Beck's show? That decision in itself speaks volumes.
But then there is the illogic of "the only chance we have for the administration to do the right things to protect us is for us to be attacked" -- which Beck only compounds with his own nonsensical comment ("That's why that would be the last thing I would do [if I were bin Laden].")
I mean, his comments here, are WAYY off base.
The rest would be asking about our wishes regarding the inclusion of fries, and do you want to super-size.
These guys can only implement the world they see as "best" in a post-apocalyptic scenario. And, what's more, they WANT it to happen!
They scare me. I do not think Rush, Glenn, Sean, Savage will be happy until we are bombed & bombed good. They must not think it would affect them, just the rest of idiots that can not buy their hype.
Now I'm worried about some lunatic staging a "Remember the Maine" or "Gulf of Tonkin" incident in order to further their agenda.
How can any respectable television person say something like that and not take him to task.
They pretend to know "the people" but they are so wrong... most people disagree with the Neocons, so they are really talking about the 30 million Rush listeners and not the 270 million reasonable Americans.
This is Beck's attempt at a win-win situation from a conservative nutjob's point of view.
I cannot believe anyone would buy into Beck's tripe. It is such blatantly self-serving talk.
This points out a major difference between Fox and the "liberal media" - people spouting this near-treasonous drivel aren't invited as guests on those shows. It scares me how many people will watch this and agree with it.
So Beck's contention is that bin Laden trusts Barack Obama will destroy the US, and therefore bin Laden has no need to attack the US as he will only interrupt the Democrats' dastardly plans?
Of course, the unintended consequence is that bin Laden will then NEVER attack the US, hence the need to invite, no beg, bin Laden to attack. Bin Laden, being so savvy, will leave it up to Barack to do the dirty work.
Why does this sound like the plot of a really bad Roger Corman movie?
Beck's counter-intuitive logic is remarkable. Imagine if he turned his brilliance to designing microprocessor logic circuits, Intel might be able to produce a digital abacus.
I swear... this ass-clown and all the other right-wing mouth-pieces (like Cheney, Beck, Rush, etc, etc) must be oh so proud with their wrapping the flag around themselves with their fake outrage and more than fake patriotism!
The 'news' (or is it potential treason?) that comes from this skit is that this man is hoping that America gets attacked...
"WWOD (What Would Osama DO)?
...Thinking about what he'd do if he were Osama Bin Laden.
And then, later in the week he's talking to some random guy on the teevee (Scheuer), and the random guy says that White House will only 'do the right thing' after a few thousand Americans died at the hands of Osama Bin Laden. Scheuer seems to also have fantasies about being the Omnipotent And Scary Terrorist Leader, because the world is so easy to understand when you're filled with blood rage.
The really scary part about this is that these guys aren't really perpetuating an ideology. They are not political, though it's easy to be confused into thinking that they are. They are not advocating the deaths of Americans in order to advance a political agenda. They *are* advocating the deaths of Americans because it just makes things simpler to understand.
They are, in some small way, murderous sociopaths.
Also, this interchange can be read as dog-whistle language for right-wing extremists.
I hope the FBI is investigating this Scheuer guy.
Wait, you'll be powder. Never mind.
Can he?
And these are the guys who were babbling along about how we all hated America, wanted the US to lose the war, how reporters were hoping for soldiers to die, and so forth.
"We need a nuke set off so we can take control again."
Does this guy have a hardcover of The Turner Diaries face-out on his bookshelf, or what?
We are safe. We have nothing to fear but fear itself.
What companies purchased ad time on this show? Do we write letters to the companies that support (through their continued purchase of ads on FOX) such calls for mass murder?
Do I want my company's ad to come on the air just after this segment?
...
Glenn: Thanks to my guest for that stirring call for an attack our country that will kill lots of people. And now a word from our sponsors _________________________ (fill in the blank).
...
The xenophobic rhetoric of pointing all of our problems being the fault of the Illegal Immigrants just makes me crazy.
Then he characterized what Secretary Clinton said, summarizing it to make it look like she was blaming guns on Mexican Drug wars (she was really blaming American demand for drugs as fueling the drug wars)
Now he can turn it into a Democrats want to take your guns away lunatic discussion. Which has not been on any agenda that I have seen.
The Republican Talking points are as follows:
Democrats/Liberals ...
1. ...are going to tax you into poverty
2. ...want the government to control your life
3. ...want to take away your guns
Everything that the government does, the talking points must reflect that.
Treason I say!
"mainstream" media matters I guess!
Have fun in left right land!
Let's try this:
CIA man Scheuer accepts the federal govt official story about how the 3 WTC skyscrapers: 1, 2, and 7 came down. His business is the "intelligence" business.
