umm a guy who took down to the floor an old lady who just had shoulder surgery, then proceeded to push another old lady away, then proceeded to pepper spray other old ladies who were in the room when they begged him to stop.

and the best part was......he had no right to be there. there was a bogus noise complaint because the neighbor didn't like who was taking to this group of old ladies, this sherrif had no probable cause to go in there, the noise curfew wasn't in effect yet for another hour or so. so this cop used excessive force on a bunch of old ldaies.

It appears Keith didn't actually hear Limbaugh utter those words. If Keith had he would have realized he was listening to one of Limbaugh's numerous "deliberately absurd" comments, something that sounds serious but is entirely in jest. Maybe Keith is the one who needs to see a doctor...

        hm1342,

Would you kindly give an explanation for everything that the Oxycotin Kid says? Are you saying that sometimes he tells the truth and sometimes he is joking but never out and out lying?
You superior ability to interpret what Rush says would be happily received here. Honest, I'm not joking or am I?

P.S. Other talkers have uttered the same talking point..are they joking or are the OTHERS outside you realm of interpretation? Just kidding, or am I?

No, just this one because I actually heard Limbaugh's comments on the radio.

P.S. Other talkers have uttered the same talking point

That may be true but I haven't heard any of them.

          Just kidding, or am I?

OK, I'll play your silly game - are you or aren't you?

            hm1342,
To prove you are wrong, I will use, as my proof, Rush Limbaugh, from earlier today.
Go thru the MMTV list to June 30 1:42pm, "Anyone who thinks Obama..." Now listen to that and honestly tell me that he is kidding or joking.
If you are only commenting on the Olbermann bit, I apologize but overall...he is spouting this nonsense.

I have listened to Rush off and on since '93. He does this sort of thing on occasion to tweak some of the audience and especially the media, knowing he's being listened to. He can sound very earnest and still be yanking your chain - it's part of his shtick. Have a great night! :-)

Considering that there was a couple Republican Congressmen that looked into this exact thing in the hopes of repealing the 22nd amendment so that Bush and Cheney can run a third term... hell I remember reading somewhere that the same thing was attempted for Reagan/Bush as well...

Barely a peep about those actual instances... but Rush mentions it... hmmm... I wonder... how long until this idiocy gains traction in the......... 'liberal' drive-by media??

      hm1342,

Up above you posted that Rush Limbaugh was just making a joke...

Based on that and the potential that many of Rush's 'dittoheads' might not see it the way you do and take his words "in all seriousness" don't you think it would make more sense for Rush to be either:

      1) a little more careful with his words or

      2) make a public statement that he is in fact... just joking and not to be taken seriously?

Rush has every right in the world to say what he wants, but the rest of us in society have every right to turn him off or partially blame him when one of his listeners decides to take Rush's words as gospel and does something stupid as a result of hearing him say crap like this.

But Rush is around. And I am totally convinced that if Rush wasn't around, approx 4 million Dumbots would be wandering the streets aimlessly looking for thier brains. Of course just mumbling because no on told them what to say.

It is good to have Rush around, he convinced many independents to vote D in the last two elections.

There's an endless stream of comedy from the right. Off the top of my head:

        - Bachmann
        - Boner
        - Cantor
        - Sarah
        - Bachmann
        - Harold Hill
        - Billo
        - McConnell
        - Bachmann
        - Coultergeist

I'm sure that this is only the tip of the iceburg, but to say that Rush is the only reason people watch KO is a bit misguided.

Very nice term you used.. **"a bit misguided." It doesn't insult those to whom you are responding and shows some class and dignity. **Reminder to self, never use such a term.

In my youth, my dad taught me to use "a bit misguided" rather than "f***ing stupid", so I would stay out of the principal's office.
