That's okay...Republicans idolize perverted drug addicts with a criminal record who have been married multiple times. Good old family values we hear so much about...

And one who takes someone else's Viagra prescription with him on a trip to the Dominican Republic, a place famous for arranging trysts between American businessmen and underage Dominican boys.

Rush's conspiracies are especially crazy lately. I'd even say he's on the Glenn Beck level.

ummmm.......yeah like anyone else calls an abortion doctor "tiller the baby killer" multiple times.

or rush saying we are going to get gang raped?

i only hear other news networks saying that they have done this.

good try but you fall just a bit short.

the only "so called media outlets" that exist are fox news

Easily three fourths of Rush's show is spent playing clips from and discussing "the drive by" / "liberal" / "mainstream" media. But the idea that other media outlets devote a fraction of their time to one of the most successful, influential and highest paid broadcasters in radio history offends you?

Why do wingies have no response but to project their own failure upon others?

I take it you've never heard his show? That's okay, I'll tell you about it.

I started listening to Limbaugh in 1995. Now back then it's true that he played far more parody songs (often repeating in the course of a single show) and filled time with his "update themes", and of course he took far more phone calls back when he had his unaided hearing, but I'll stick with my estimate. Limbaugh's show is highly formulaic: a monologue at the top of the hour, discussion of a few news items, playing clips from politicians and television coverage, a few calls, and then a summary thought before the end of the hour. Sometimes he'll play a Paul Shanklin song, or he'll do one of those awkward "dialogues" with himself as he impersonates Clinton or does his "new castrati" voice. But he almost never spends more than half a segment doing those. "Open Line Friday" doesn't even significantly break from that pattern. Very, very, very rarely he'll actually interview an author or politician. But the vast majority of his show is devoted to what other media are doing. (And since when was that a controversial observation?)

You know, if I had said something inaccurate about Rush's show I could understand why you would accuse me of getting my information second hand. But to attack me for accurately describing the show based on my firsthand listening? Seriously?

Using Rushs' rape characterizations, we might conclude that Rush has:
Raped the Republicans of thier Party.
Raped his listeners of the truth in most cases.
Raped the out of work employees so he could get paid.
Raped his ex-wives Freedom of Speech by paying for thier silence.
Raped the "phony soldiers" with his lies.
Raped Chelsea Clinton by using a dog metaphor.

I'm sure there are many, many more but you get a little ill think of his so-called "rape"ier wit.

Raped A Rape Victim all Over Again By Repeating Her Court Testimony on his show and falling forward laughing about it. "You can see I am trying not to laugh..I can't help it" He was describing her testimony on how the defendant put his finger in her rectum. He thought this was hysterically funny. He could not even control his laughter. This vile pig was laughing at this victim and thought this should be told on the air. The Conservatives & republicans respect this disgusting hog?

It's a common ploy among folks who are typically losing in a debate or choose to make their statements as powerful as possible while bearing no substance at all.

Rape is a violation of someone's humanity. Using it as a metaphor to make a point, however; is a violation of everyone's intelect.

Thank you! I often wonder, when hearing this mataphor used, how it affects those unfortunate enough (as was one of my late aunts) to have been a victim of actual rape.

Rush Limbaugh uses an actual RAPE VICTIM'S testimony as a comedy act on his show. Besides all his other SICK metaphors. Why is he so respected by the GOP?

I like how Ed chose to use the letter "R" therefore not desensitize the word rape by using it over and over. Very respectful.

It's quite simple to explain Rush's comment. There are two methods of making an argument: You can appeal to logic or emotion. The best arguments are founded on logic, and structured to create an emotional response.

Sadly, logic is out of Rush's reach, for whatever reason, and so he flings as much crap against the wall as he can, hoping against hope that some of it sticks. Quite sad, really.
