Carlin got a BA as a Physicist and a doctorate in Economics...
His job at the EPA is within the realm of Economics not environmental science.
Just because he works for the EPA does not make him a Climatologist... my question is why is he even writing a report?
That's like a CPA at Apple writing a white paper about Apple's Branding Strategy!
The right is so out of ideas, they are looking for any port in the storm... I guess it was Carlin's turn.
The conservative argument against climate change using Al Gore as a proxy is absolutely hilarious to me. It would be like claiming that HIV/AIDS isn't real because Bono is talking about it. Or claiming that there's no such thing as racism in America because Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton talk about it.
Wait, actually, Rush Limbaugh has tried that last one.
And if you bothered to read what I wrote in my last post you would know that I could care less what Al Gore thinks about the environment. Gore has helped to make climate change a major issue in public discourse, but he isn't a scientific authority on climate change and I don't treat him as such.
If you can't, then admit you don't know what you are talking about and STFU.
(Note: I call FL "Commode Boy" because he thought it was a valid debating technique to dismiss Keith Olbermann by calling him "the bathtub boy." I used the same strategy against him, since he thinks it is a valid rhetorical tactic, and named him "Commode Boy," using another random object found in a bathroom.)

Of course, his guest prefers the climate opinions of an economist to those of climatologists, because he says what she likes to hear, which is drill, baby, drill. Like I said: amateur hour on Fox.
We would all like to hide our heads in the sand and pretened there is no problem and that humans have had no effect.
But that would go against the actual DATA. You cannot look at this pattern in 5-6 year incrememnts because they are outliers and do not take La Nina ocean currents into effect.
