      I've got a question - is "state-run media" a new saying for Rush? I mean, did the state-run media exist under GW Bush? Or as soon as Barack Obama got sworn in, bam, state takes over the media?

        There were many times under Bush that it felt like the gov was controlling the media.

          I had a bumper sticker on my car for about 3 years:

          FOX NEWS IS
          STATE RUN MEDIA

          I removed it after Obama was elected.

            Not just Fox though. There were times when ALL media seemed to be state run (eg: the run up to the Iraq war.) It was the dreaded "liberal" NY Times after all which withheld the warrantless wire tap story until after the 2004 election. They sat on it for an entire year.

        Rush makes me think of the TV station director from the movie UHF: "How many times have I told my staff never to call chicks broads?"

        Yep, he's a caricature of a character from the Weird Al movie.

      I don't like to make fun of people's personal appearance...

      It's hateful and shows a shallow mind.

      Still, we must be honest in dealing with El Fathead. This man is a Mashed Up Pile of Jackass.

      I wouldn't call this bit "attacking" Clinton... he was just meandering aimlessly about "cankles" and I think is natural reflex is to take a swipe at Hillary.

      I think the pain killer meds were just kicking in at the start of this segment.

        I have been hearing about the liberal media "swooning" over his love letters but I have yet to see any of them do it.

        And what exactly does "chickification" mean? I honestly think that he sits up at night making up things to say about minorities. Like how the media is being "chickified" and how for to long Rush Limbaugh (a rich white man) has been oppressed by power Puerto Rican women (a.k.a. Sotomayor).

        And can someone please show me which mainstream news outlet is state run? The only state run media in this country is PBS and that isn't exactly the first place I go to figure out whats happening in the world.

      Hey Rumbo Dumbo, I have not heard a single Democrat woman swoon over Sanford's love letters. Only comments I have heard from any woman, is how ridiculously immature and hysterically funny, they are and what a creepy hypocrite he is. For your sake it is a shame lying does not burn more calories.
