      Wow, to fix AA white liberals need to give up their jobs. That will make the racists happy because they will still go on and descriminate, but they'll do it knowing they don't have to pay a penalty for their actions.

          I'm afraid, DAWUSS, it seems Juan is not just filling in:

          After the announcement yesterday that Al Franken had indeed won the MN Senate seat, Bill O'Reilly's head did - as had been popular conjecture - explode.


          Tuesday, June 30 at 4:53 p.m. ET - Fox police responding to a 911 call from an unidentified neighbor found Fox News superstar Bill O'Reilly's unresponsive and headless body lying in his driveway, his hands still clutching the loofah with which he was apparently washing his Volvo. Repeated attempts to revive him were initially promising, with Mr. O'Reilly intermittently sitting up and pointing his finger for short periods, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

          Initial investigation could not positively identify the body as that belonging to O'Reilly. Teeth, a toupe, and falafel matter were found scattered as far as 300 feet away from the point of detonation. Subsequent reconstruction of the os frontale from the unusually large amount of skull fragments confirmed the identity.

          Fox attorneys are considering filing felonious antagonism charges against Mr. Franken.

      Jaun Williams is Ward Connelly. This is Fox's idea of fair and balanced. ID Williams as a democrat -- albeit a Reagan Democrat -- and there's your balance. No liberals welcome. What a fraud and what a sell out.

          Also a Panamanian native who hates African Americans and the entire civil rights movement. As a black/hispanic myself of Venzuelan and Trinidian extraction, I know whereof I speak. Many people in my family are extremely "prejudiced" against many other black americans. Perticularly those on the lower ends of the socio-economic scale.

      Great "logic" Bernie....using that premise, how about every teabagging reich-winger that supports the war should pick up a rifle and replace a soldier over in the middle east and let that soldier come home.

      Bernie, following your lead, we will make abortion illegal and all women who do not want to keep the children can look down the list of Pro-Lifers and pick out a name and that person/family will accept the child as thier own. Who knows Bernie, someone of color may pick you..by since you like "brilliant plans", you will accept the child with open arms, maybe Twice or Three times.

      Why do these fools forget GENDER, too?

      Sociologically speaking, while men of different racial or ethnic backgrounds have been discriminated against in the workplace and the rest of the society, it is worse for most women.

      Just looking at prominent women and how they're portrayed by the media, it's all about looks and temperament. Throw in a little more diversity and you get garbage like "baby mama" coming out about a presidential candidate's wife.

          I was thinking of the media's attacks against Palin, as well as Clinton and Sotomayor. Attacking women based simply on what they wear and their attitudes is ridiculous. They should, however, get just as much criticism as men for what they actually do and say as far as politics (or whatever the job) are concerned.

          My post wasn't strictly in defense of those on the left, I was using an example of a situation where race was involved in a sly attack against Mrs. Obama, who wasn't even a candidate.

          However, Palin and Harris want to talk about bringing more religion into politics, such as in education, abortion, electing officials, gay marriage, etc... that's an issue. Palin wants to go along as a presidential candidate's running mate, she needs to have a clue as to what is going on outside Alaska.

      I just wrote to NPR's ombudsman to have Juan Williams removed from their roster of contributors. He has shown himself to be a pawn of FOX and no longer deserves a platform on a truly unbiased network.

      Oh yes. The first black president who has done more for this country then any to try and catch up with the rest of the world that flourished under progress while we were hindered by the quagmire of Bush, and the first Latina Supreme Court Justice who graduated top of her class at Princeton, attended Yale Law School, and was appointed judge of the 2nd circuit court of appeals. Affirmative Action strikes again.

      Every white person in America who thinks that affirmative action is a good thing, that it makes America a better place, voluntarily gives up his and her job immediately. Right now. On one, and only one, condition. That they be replaced by someone who isn't white. That way, by tomorrow or the next day, we'd have alot more blacks, alot more hispanics, alot more other minorities in very important positions in the workforce...
      Does anyone else but me wonder where Bernie Goldberg was going with his "brilliant plan?"

      Usual wingnut fear mongering. College faculty have pretty good minority representation. Assuming that Bernie reads he has no doubt uncovered the Supreme Court decision that said that race is a factor but there is no quota. Even if there were a quota there are 5 times as many whites as blacks in the US. I also kind of doubt that Bernie would be so dismissive of military vets who benefit from it.

      This is Bernie hitting all the low points of "conservative" logic.

      Only liberals think that the way to redress hundreds of years of institutionalized racism, not to even mention all other forms of discrimination, is affirmative action. So, Bernie call out to his fellow conservatives to put the onus on liberals to give up their jobs and positions in order to test the depth of liberal support for affirmative action.
      Bernie, being too clever by half, is a typical "conservative" because he thinks he's not racist, it's really liberals who are racist and this is the way to "prove" it.

      You're the racists, Bernie's just reactionary.
