Limbaugh: "Are we headed to Dependence Day?"

Rush seriously needs to share what he is smoking.

I need to check this out, but I don't think we have been celebrating Independence Day since we DECLARED Independence. I do believe that we had to WIN Independence first...

According to Wikipedia:
1870: U.S. Congress made Independence Day an UNPAID Federal holiday.
1938: U.S. Congress made Independence Day a PAID Federal holiday.
In other words, Rush can't be bothered to use a computer and look up simple facts.
Whether individuals celebrated July 4th on their own doesn't matter.
Congress first declared independence from Great Britain on July 2nd, 1776. The Declaration of Independence was finalized on July 4th 1776, and signings of the Author and other Founding Fathers took place over several years. It was read on July 4th 1776, but officially it wasn't recognized as a holiday until 1870.

Limbaugh should know what dependence day is he depends on the dim wits who listen to his show to get his hand out of millions of dollars a year. He just whines about anyone but neo-cons and the welfare starts flowing. And most of his whining isn't even based in fact. Now that's welfare!

If anyone knows anything about dependency, it's Rush Limbaugh.
