More sexist nonsense by someone too ugly to keep a woman. And he really should stop trashing the Faux women, the company might get fed up. You would think he would know better not to bite the hand that feeds him, but he does it twice in one day. He must really be off his meds or onto something else.

Blimpaugh isn't trashing the Fox women. On the contrary - he's lauding Fox for having them there to give viewers something to do besides listen to the news. It kind of takes the heat off of having to get the facts and stuff right.

But Rush is trying to have it both ways. You can't hire a whole crew of interchangeable, ideologues in faux tans and bleached hairhelmets without "chickifying" the news. I watch PBS, and the women there aren't young, they aren't interchangeable, they aren't babes, and they make it clear that they think for themselves...and only Judy Woodruff is a blonde. Let's hear it for Gwen Ifill, Margaret Warner, Nina Tottenberg, and Judy! And very few PBS stories have mentioned Sanford, let alone swooned over him.

            Exactly.

How could all of those other news outlets be so wrong? It's by allowing them to think that since they don't have perky breasts or pouty lips that they must be there to report the news. By not making it clear that they are NOT there for any other reason than to attract horny male and envious female viewers, or to meet hiring quotas, they have forgotten their places. Put on their shoes and stepped out of the kitchen, so to speak. And what happens when you let a dame loose to wander into the garage? Exactly - radial arm saws become clotheslines, chisels are used to remove gum from shoes... Your basic chickification of the garage.

I think (unless you're a broad yourself) you get my point. And this is just one of those cases where another aesthetically-challenged female needed to be reminded of why she's there.

I personally know nothing about Limbaugh's inability to keep a woman. He may have one stashed some place. However, his statements about women news people is full of disgusting rhetoric. One wonders if the guy ever self-corrects before blabbing so openly. He truly sounds stupid when he makes a sexist statement like this. And yet the guy seems to have a bevy of female hero worshipers. Although on second thought, it may be just his normal course of events since he was so unable to maintain any relationship with any female, even after marrying them. Just sounds bitter and almost jealous of females. Yep, poor, poor thing!!!!

Nor do I know any gays as nasty as Rush, which is why I think any self respecting closet would throw him out, and I can't think of any gays who would want to be with him, either.

Okay... now it's obvious that Rush doesn't even read the article... which took me all of 5 minutes to read.

Meghan Daum's article is saying that it's the MEN who are apologists for Sanford not women...

Chickifying the news? She's saying that the Old Boys Club is rearing it's ugly head because and if Sanford survives it because every man empathizes with Sanford, which is counter to what Rush has been saying all week.

She's saying that you RUSH... you are the apologist for Mark Sanford

I don't know if I agree with her, but I think it's funny that Rush doesn't even bother to read the article.. he probably saw the article, saw her head shot and decided "CHICKIFIED"

No one's excusing Sanford's behavior. But as we slog through another week of the Jackson postmortem-paloooza and wonder at the fact that we're also still hearing about the South Carolina governor's love for certain tan lines, maybe it's worth asking ourselves why. Is it because we're uncategorically appalled? Or is it because maybe, just maybe, there's a tiny bit of Mark Sanford in, if not all men, quite a few of them? And that's more than you can say of Michael Jackson.

I think blimpaughs point is that Daum is wrong for blaming men for keeping Sanford in the news. And to disprove her hypothesis, he tells us what he's convinced she's REALLY thinking and reminds us that she's just making the whole story up because she was indoctrinated to hate men while she was at college.

An explanation which, of course, is much more viable than Daums story.

      What's wrong with "infobabe?"

Generally "babe" refers to something cute, pretty and sexy, which, I don't think carries any negative connotations to it...

Or would they rather be perceived as ugly and hideous?

        What's wrong with "infobabe?"

Nothing, if you're going to call male anchors "infohunk."

Actually, in the Meghan Daum column rush cites, Ms. Daum credits her father, not any feminist professor, with explaining how easy it is for men to become "twitterpated" (See "Bambi" by Disney) by a woman the way that Sanford appears to have been. As usual, rush takes a comment or two out of context and writes a new version of the whole piece.

It's the Blobbification of talk radio.

This is just decades of pent-up anger from a fat doofus who probably couldn't get a woman to talk to him throughout his adolescence and young adult life.

After making a few million bucks, he noticed that women started talking to him, and it blew his ego up to the same proportions as his big fat head.

Then he realized that the women were not attracted to him, and were only there to take his money.

This is when he decided to start patronizing the child sex trades in the Dominican Republic, where the young boys finally gave Rush the attention he needed.

Hey, I can editorialize just like Rush!

Oh no, of course all men don't cheat on there wives. How dare she make such a gross generalization; but naturally gay people are all disgusting and don't deserve to get married, all black people obviously steal and murder and cheat their way through life, and of course all latina women who have gotten any kind of authority have gotten through AA. What in the world was that "chick" thinking?!
