I gotta' go along with doughboy on this one. SEIU, Acorn, and Obama ARE branches of the same tree... a tree called DEMOCRACY!!!

On the other hand, doughboy is still just a glib, ignorant grifter, trying to expand his fortune by getting over on the paranoid, dumb-ass contingent of America's teevee nation.

The prevented voter fraud by reported suspect voter registration cards. Reich-wing teabagger terrorists are too stupid or too pathetic to accept the truth.

They flagged their OWN EMPLOYEE MISCONDUCT. Wingnuts don't care either way, of course, because the real reason is the intersection of their WATB persecution complexes and their pants-crapping terror at the thought of black people doing anything at all.

Actually, they were not ACORN employees...they were volunteers. If roles were reversed, reich-wingers would be screeching that "liberals infiltrators" were responsible for the suspect voter registration cards.

And he's still peddling myths and misinformation about Barney Frank and "Fannie and Freddie's" role in the sub-prime loan bubble. He also seems to think that Barney Frank was in control of policy decisions during the six years that the Democrats were in the minority in Congress. He's a John Bircher-type conspiracy nut and ACORN fetishist. He parades a sorry bunch of deluded right wing "professors" and "experts" each day to bolster his delusions. His show is very successful, and it should be pushed back against.

This Administration will constantly strive to promote an ownership society in America. We want more people owning their own home. It is in our national interest that more people own their own home. After all, if you own your own home, you have a vital stake in the future of our country.”
        - President George W. Bush, December 16, 2003

        “The Accomplishments"
        Increasing Homeownership
        * The US homeownership rate reached a record 69.2 percent in the second quarter of 2004. The number of homeowners in the United States reached 73.4 million, the most ever. And for the first time, the majority of minority Americans own their own homes.

        * The President set a goal to increase the number of minority homeowners by 5.5 million families by the end of the decade. Through his homeownership challenge, the President called on the private sector to help in this effort. More than two dozen companies and organizations have made commitments to increase minority homeownership - including pledges to provide more than $1.1 trillion in mortgage purchases for minority homebuyers this decade.

        * President Bush signed the $200 million-per-year American Dream Downpayment Act which will help approximately 40,000 families each year with their downpayment and closing costs.

        * The Administration proposed the Zero-Downpayment Initiative to allow the Federal Housing Administration to insure mortgages for first-time homebuyers without a downpayment. Projections indicate this could generate over 150,000 new homeowners in the first year alone.

        * President Bush proposed a new Single Family Affordable Housing Tax Credit to increase the supply of affordable homes.

        * The President has proposed to more than double funding for the Self-Help Homeownership Opportunity Program (SHOP), where government and non-profit organizations work closely together to increase homeownership opportunities.

        * The President proposed $2.7 billion in USDA home loan guarantees to support rural homeownership and $1.1 billion in direct loans for low-income borrowers unable to secure a mortgage through a conventional lender. These loans are expected to provide 42,800 homeownership opportunities to rural families across America.”

I remember all of that. It's amazing how many people seem to have forgotten that George W Bush even existed, let alone is responsible for some of the worst policies that they now blame Democrats for (see the auto industry bailouts, for example).

I would rather you go back to seeing pink elephants than "connections", not that statements like this make it easy to believe you're on the wagon.

Beck... please stop lying... where do you get your number... please, attribute it somewhere.

According to FEC numbers from OpenSecrets.org

SEIU donated $60,343 to Barack Obama in 2008
SEIU donated $2,5 Million to the Democratic Party, which was spread out amongst all the Senators and Congressmen.

$60 Million??? Really? Do you just make it up? Do you really get $60,000 confused with $60,000,000?

It took me 10 minutes to look this up... I really can't believe anything you say about your connections.

And stop with the ACORN problem. ACORN is not the boogie man... they aren't the evil empire... stop trying to portray them as such.

I'm not surprised in the least but the "mix-up" in the numbers.

I was watching FNC the other day (not in my own home and not by choice), and they were discussing cutting $1 trillion by about half. The kept flashing "$1 trillion to $600M" on their chyron. I remember looking at it and thinking, doesn't billion come before trillion, so it should read "600B"? They did manage to catch it after running for a few minutes. That surprised me more.

Glenn sounds like he feels upset that he and many from the right are being left out of a new progressive movement. A movement that is taking the country back from people like him, the Foxnoise machine and the past eight years of George do nothing Bush and the G.O.P.

Obama has addresssed more problems here and abroad facing the American people in six months than Bush did in eight years.

Americans are more worried about people who work at Foxnoise that have tree branches spreading from the likes of Hal Turner.

Have another drink Glenn and organize some more tea parties.
