i know it's unbelievable, but you know how you never see facts and fox *news* in the same room? Could fox be disguised as the truth- you know, like a super hero appearing like a normal person?

Or is Fox really just as dumb as a bunch of rocks?

They're lack of logic astounds me.

They USED to say that we shouldn't listen to the scientists, becuase they've been wrong before - like when they predicted global cooling in the 1970's.

Now... putting asinde the utter BS that this claim is, they still have no credible position that makes a lick of sense.

      1) If they were WRONG then, and they're saying that exact opposite now, how can they STILL be wrong?

      2) If they were WRONG then, why should the cooling trend of the last 8 years or so be treated any differently?

      3) If they were RIGHT then, why didn't it last?

And yes, I know all about the couses of cooling in the'70's, that's not really the point. It just astounds me how they will accept anything that says the other side is wrong, even blatantly contradictory logic.

Notice Bret Baier didn't mention the "scientists" by name. Guess it would be to easy to use "The Google" to find out they are oil company hacks.

I'll give it a shot. How about Kyle Swanson of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and colleague Anastasios Tsonis (paste in link below from that right-wing bastion MSNBC):

Guess you didn't take time to read the whole article. The point of the article, it was we may be a pause of global warming. Please read the excerpt below. At least you could have quoted an article fron one of the real deniers

Swanson thinks the trend could continue for up to 30 years. But he warned that it's just a hiccup, and that humans' penchant for spewing greenhouse gases will certainly come back to haunt us.

"When the climate kicks back out of this state, we'll have explosive warming," Swanson said. "Thirty years of greenhouse gas radiative forcing will still be there and then bang, the warming will return and be very aggressive."

Of course I read the whole article. The title of this MMFA article is, "We've reported several scientists have detailed a recent global cooling trend" and a running vein here was that Baier did not cite any sources. Snoopy asked to name several scientists and that's what I did. I intentionally picked two scientists who believe in AGW to prove my point. It isn't just big oil-sponsored scientists saying there is a cooling trend (and a trend that will continue) and if I had picked a Lindzen or Ball you would have bellowed about them being true deniers. Thanks though for helping me make my point. I'm glad you picked up on the fact that the scientists I named are in the AGW camp, and they are not alone.

The article I was quoting was the MSNBC article you posted to try and prove your point. I will re-post Swanson's (the scientist you quoted) statement in the MSNBC article. Sure doesn't sound like he's a global warming denier!

"Swanson thinks the trend could continue for up to 30 years. But he warned that it's just a hiccup, and that humans' penchant for spewing greenhouse gases will certainly come back to haunt us."

"When the climate kicks back out of this state, we'll have explosive warming," Swanson said. "Thirty years of greenhouse gas radiative forcing will still be there and then bang, the warming will return and be very aggressive"

Umm, yes, I know that is what you were saying. My response was in reference to the MSNBC article. As I explained before, I used that article and those scientists specifically because they are not part of the "denial machine."

So here you have scientists who believe in AGW who say that the earth could continue to cool for up to 30 years. I don't know how much weight I would put in their long-term projections, but there sure are a lot of indications in the real numbers available that they may be right.

If Baier didn't mention them, how could RW know who they are? He suggested that Baier didn't mention them because it would be easy to find out whether they are hacks.

Al Gore never used the word Nazi Germany... it's an inflammatory statement that's usually reserved by the folks at Fox News... and Florida republicans...

Fox is a bunch of sensationalist (no big surprise). They are really reaching...they even quoted what Al Gore actually said, but still found the need to throw in "Nazi Germany". The Winston Churchill reference is appropriate because the speech took place at Oxford.

Winston Churchill aroused this nation in heroic fashion to save civilisation in World War Two. We have everything we need except political will, but political will is a renewable resource.

The art of Al Gore and Nazi Germany is a cheap stunt by Fox. How they can take the quote above and juxtapose Nazi Germany is absurd. He was making a comment on how great leadership, like Churchill in WWII, can arouse a nation and the globe, and that is what is going to take to overcome climate change.

Fox, as usual, misses the point. They are an attack machine. They saw Al Gore in the news and looked for something they can smear him with...and the Right Wing standard smear is Nazi Germany.

Oh.. btw... the cooling trend statement is a Republican Talking point, so whenever there is a story about climate change, they are required to mention that line. That's GOP strategy.

Whoever thought idiocy could be a strategy? But the graphic above is just charming. I mean, what a great idea putting a picture of Al, the earth, and the symbol of Nazi germany up in a single screenshot? Now someone, please, show me a pic of the "liberal" press doing something worse so you can claim that it's really the "liberal" press doing all the smearing...

Aside from what he is saying, I find it interesting how Fox always has pictures that imply something else. You have Gore, the Earth, and a Nazi emblem. I'm sure it is with the intent that most of their viewers (who are below average intelligence) will now associate Gore with Nazi's. Watch Fox with the sound off and it will be very obvious they have no respect for their audience.

Factless News also detailed a recent dumbing down of their viewers.
This will help to coincide that the increased hurricanes, typhoons, tsunamis and animal extinction is just "the lord" coming back, who is also a republican, to destroy the earthly sinners (and by "sinners" Factless News means Liberal, Democrats, Progressives, Tree Huggers and Homosexuals.) because it is most certainly NOT global warming that caused this or they would have reported accurately.

I thought this was from the Onion at first.
Now, without the sound, I am going to interpret this picture:
"People, Special Report has learned Al Gore is leader of the Nazi's, will command an enormous army and take over Planet Earth."
Surprise! It's yet again another spin on global warming, and how Al Gore is full of it, and how scientists are going to eat your children after they modify them, yeah, yeah yeah.
      Here's my interpretation of this:
      "Conservative=Nazi"
      "Rush Limbaugh=2nd rate Hitler".
Any day now Baier is going to blow his brains out, and the blood splatter on the wall will form into a Fox logo, because he'a a company man to the end.

I'm seeking immediate medical attention because I must have hallucinated the Nazi eagle standing to the right of Gore's picture. There is no way a respected news organization like Fox News would attempt to compare an ex-VP to the Nazis, just as I would never attempt to compare Fox News viewers to humans or other higher life forms.
