Reich-wingers = Professional Victims. Man-on-Dog Ricky once again proves this fact.

Just because they're professional victims doesn't mean they're not treated unfairly. I mean, just look at Condi Rice, having two strikes against her. Hillary never had to put up with the level of vitriol aimed at Condi. Remember in the old days, when the mainstream media would hit her so hard, implying she was some sort of "bimbo tom"?

        ...

I'm having a little trouble bringing up specific instances, but I'm sure they happened, otherwise Rick wouldn't have brought it up.

Good point. Hillary always had it easy. The press practically bent over backwards to placate her.

So, according to Greta and former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) Michael Steele, RNC Chairman would be considered an "Uncle Tom" because he's a minority conservative in the GOP/Republican Party? The GOP/Republicans really do have that 'Big Tent' for "EVERY" American, huh? Hmmmm.....

Ricky, exactly why did you get crushed in Pa last time out?

Look in the mirror and listen to yourself on tape.
Ricky, you are a TRUE Conservative...the kind that have destoryed the Republican Party.
Ricky, start your own party of Conservatives and challenge American voters..I am sure a ticket of Palin/Santorum would garner at mandate.
But please understand, this isn't golf.

Boy, the Republican Party really does have a problem with race! One day their Strom Thurmon the next their trying to be NWA(Steel). How does this fit in with Rush calling Colin Powell a racist for his endorsement of Barack Obama? They are a Party representing the most backward white chauvinist segments of society and it's glarringly obvious!

While I won't disagree with your assessment of this blog post and video, I would like to point out that it is a widely held misconception that Republicans and Libertarians are inherently racist parties.

I have seen it said here (not by you) that Libertarians would have kept this country a slave nation if given the power.

That is a blatant falsehood. The amazing work done by Republicans and Libertarians to free slaves and promote legislation against segregation and Jim Crow laws is far too often ignored.
        http://www.reason.com/news/show/134651.html

Remember, Libertarians are old school classical liberals. ("...a form of liberalism stressing individual freedom, free markets, and limited government.")
        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_liberalism

Also, read von Mises if you haven't already. It is well worth the time.

Excellent point, which Republicans don't like to admit. Nixon's "Southern Strategy" is a historical fact.

I saw a comparison a few years ago of the "Red/Blue" maps from Lincoln's time and the 2000 election. The Red and Blue areas were almost exactly reversed.

I'm not sure what your point is.

Now I would never deny the Republican party once upon a time, did great things for Black folks. If you remember, Black folks primarily voted Republican for almost 100 years, because the Republican party pretty much came into existence in the 1850's on an anti-slavery platform.

BUT, after the 1964 presidential election, Republican Barry Goldwater appealed directly to the white Democrats of the South, the GOP began to consciously morph itself into the White Man’s Party in Dixie. Like the Dixie Democrats, the Republicans fashioned campaigns that essentially ran against Black people, using code words like, they are for 'states rights,' 'law and order,' 'welfare reform,' and against 'affirmative action,' 'quotas,' 'reverse discrimination.' 'tax and spend liberals,' 'activist judges,' and 'busing.'

Today's Republican party include the same racists, both northern & southern - who left the Democratic Party in the 60s and 70s because they hated Civil Rights.

          And Clarence Thomas?

Thomas replaced Thurgood Marshall, who had been the legal hero to Black folks during the struggle over segregation whereas, Clarence Thomas is the opponent of every governmental program that made his own life possible. From his one man dissent against the court's majority ruling not to scrap a key section of the Voting Rights Act, Clarence Thomas gives Black folks plenty of reason to dislike him. Being a conservative is at the bottom of the list!

This is the gentleman who claimed convenience store hamburgers as a charge to his campaign contribution fund.

And who had his children educated at public expense when there was ample evidence he didn't live in his own state.

And there is ample evidence he got a sweetheart mortgage from a private bank that he could not have qualified as a customer for except that he was a sitting United States Senator.

Why does anyone listen to anything he has to say?

PS: Here's another broken-down conservative candidate Sheer "Hot Air" inSannity tried to prop up with numerous free imfomercials on his radio show (softball questions, free airtime, free opportunities to beg for money, etc.). And, like the rest, he still lost...

Where did Christian say that MMFA is part of the Main Stream Media?

His/her point seems clear, MMFA has called black republicans by similar names and yet calls out Santorum for saying the same thing.

What Christian pointed out is a text book example of hypocricy, whether or not you think it's a correct representation to call a black republican "Uncle Tom" and the like.

Anyways, she was at a Santorum rally right before he got elected some years ago and asked him if he was in favor of getting more loans for poor people to go to college (she was a single welfare mom who got loans and graduated from CMU!) and he said, get this, 'What? you think everyone should have the chance to go to college?' Holy moses, I couldn't believe my eyes (I was reading this) and couldn't understand this guys appeal at all! And don't even get me started on him ripping off the Penn Hill's school district while his kids went to school in WV! hopefully he will never return to (further) darken our already too cloudy days.

Okay, I'll follow you down your rabbit trail. Please note that you had nothing to say to actually defend Santorum's comments.

I looked through each of the comments on the other thread. "Black con" is true and not derogatory. "GOP's token black guy" is an obvious exaggeration. "Uncle Tom" was never written by anyone (p.s., Christians are not supposed to tell lies). "Clarence Thomas' brother" is tongue-in-cheek sarcasm.

Altogether I guess this scores about 20% on the hypocrisy meter. If you want to see real hypocrisy, there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of examples you can find with a quick search of this site. The right-wingers have made it an absolute art form.

There are reasons black conservatives are viewed as uncle toms. The people who lead the republican party talk a lot. They talk about everything but conservative government.Conservative government means means mainly fiscal both short and long term.So called conservatives(republicans) are good for saving money short term resulting in long term deficits and disasters. One of these so called saving plans that contributes to destroying the United States is their effort since Reagan to destroy the education system. By cutting back on money for school beyond hign school since the Reagan adminstartion( from grants to student loans). After 30 years of this millons of people without skill to make enough money to pay taxes and the government sopporting them. That is a good fincial plan reduce skills of people which reduces income reducing number of tax payers, putting a heavier load on those paying taxes. What conservatives(reoublicans) do talk about is hate and legislating moral values which can only be done by more government intrusion in every boby's life.Anybody who can stand among the false conservativetism, lies and hatred expressed by ths conservatives(republicans),and at the same time say it is wrong to make it easier for their children to get skills to support themselves and raise a family, and say I support this, is deluded, hateful, being paid to lie just plain dumb no matter what race they be

During the Regan ression there were people who walked through every working class neighborhood and signed people up for phony schools. They were told, times are tough you need money.Get a student loan,we'll split the money dont worry about going to class. Many of these schools had 95% plus default rates.By law these schools were supposed to be barred from student aid participation. It is in any government's and the people's best intrest to get as much skills and education as possible to have a productive civilization.Governments should do this by any means nacessary,by incentives, pay,or force. Why do you think we have truancy laws.Today in this current recession there are skilled jobes available without skilled people to fill them.If you want me to go into the many ways the Reagan adminstration screwed everyone in the United States, your self included,I'd wind up writting a book.Speaking of tin foil hats how much do you pay for your conservative newsletters and insider member ships, does is it a ponzi do you get paid off new members.Tell me what is untrue about the part of my post you highlited. You said nothing in your post to refute it.

Ok. First Impression after watching this. When has Sarah Palin EVER been articulate? And it has nothing to do with her being a woman. I actually thought that it was a smart choice for the republican party to nominate a woman, but then she started talking and we all learned that she doesn't know anything. And as for Clarence Thomas I may not share the same views as him, but I think that it is important that we represent all aspect of our population on the supreme court and since he is the only African American I think that is a step in the right direction.
