Begrudgingly, Blondie has to say "good news" for SS after being schooled by the very guest who she thought would parrot her ignorance.

I guess Sesssions is guilty of "gaffing." He actually told the truth, citing Hatch and his party as the ones who chucked bipartisanship in the Committee. Sort of takes away one of their favorite whines.

It's interesting that, when in power, the Republicans changed the rules to give more power to the majority party, and now that they are no longer the majority party they cry fowl about the very rules they crafted.

Had I been elected President, as an independent, I would've found it very difficult not to declare Bush and Cheney 'enemy combatants' just to give them a taste of the rules they imposed on us from the safety of their lofty positions.

Agreed. Let's follow the law, since we are in fact a nation of laws. I'm just saying it had crossed my mind. I can't believe Bush passed such crazy things as the Patriot Act and the suspension of habeas corpus knowing he would be out of office someday.

Oh, oh... Sessions won't be asked back on Fox News, he was being Fair and Balanced and that's not how Fox likes it.

Establish your faux premise and find "facts", pundits, and politicians to back up that premise! That's the Fox methodology.

Look at what happens when Fox News strays from the Republican talking points... DOH!!

I'm so sick to death of this "everything must be bipartisan" crap. We've had two elections in a row in which the majority of the voters said, loud and clear, "we want the Democrats in charge." I thought that meant "we want the Democrats to put their ideas to work," not "we want the Democrats to kowtow to the Republicans and pass legislation only if the Republicans give their go-ahead."

At no time in Obama's presidency is he likely to have more than a 60-40 majority in the Senate. Change the filibuster rules, force Up and Down votes (formerly Sacred to the GOP) on EVERYTHING, so we can see where EVERYONE STANDS. Period.

And if you won't do that, don't you DARE ask me for money in the future, Democratic Party. Because I wash my hands of you.

Exactly. Look how the Reps conducted themselves when they had the White House and both houses of Congress. Does anyone really believe they are interested in bipartisanship now for any reason other than they're not in charge?

The Republicans "won" two Presidential elections by the skin of their teeth and had paper-thin margins in both houses-- and got more done with those "mandates" than the Democrats will even attempt.

Republicans aren't interested in Governing, but they are interested in the exercise of power. Democrats aren't interested in exercising power, but they are interested in Government. So in the end, the only party that gets anything done is the Republicans.

I can tell you that when the Republicans are back in charge, and I hear Democrats whine about what they could get done if only they were in the majority, I'm just going to tune it out. Because it's all garbage.

I'd like to ask the republicans to show a few examples of them being bipartisan when they were in charge. The "nuclear option" was all about breaking rules that prevented one party from ever becoming dictatorial in nature. No, today's republican is just like thin skinned sarah, they can dish it out but they sure can't take it.
