Kilmeade wonders why Axelrod didn't kiss Pope's ring: "What is Axelrod's problem?"
July 10, 2009 3:09 pm ET
From the July 10 edition of Fox News Radio's Brian and the Judge:
Kilmeade adds of Axelrod: "Maybe he wanted the Pope to kiss his ring." Later in the program, a caller said that Axelrod probably didn't kiss the Pope's ring because he's Jewish.
From NPR's interview of Monsignor K. Bartholomew Smith:
Do I kiss the ring?
Yes, if you are Catholic and the pope offers his hand. If you're not Catholic, you can opt to shake his hand. That's what President Bush did on Tuesday when he met the pope at Andrews Air Force Base outside of Washington, D.C.
A New York Times profile wrote of Axelrod: "Axelrod and his sister, Joan, grew up in Manhattan, the children of two Jewish liberals."

Yea...vapid and shallow.
I know, I know... it's "tradition". The Pope is much like the Queen of England... a symbolic figurehead who costs a lot of money to keep up but doesn't serve any useful purpose.
In light of the recent revelation that Kilmeade does not know the difference between "species" and "ethnicity", I have not mustered up the courage to read any further.
Didn't they read that Bibi Natanyahou called 'David and Rahm' self-hating Jews the other day?
