I don't think any network that employs Bill O'Reilly or Rush Limbaugh has the right to crack wise on bad tempers. These two men have some of the worst tempers and manners I have ever seen in a public forum and it amazes me that they aren't punched out on a regular basis, because they go out of their ways to be ugly and combative, while pulling the mike on the opposition. I think Judge Sotomayor has done very well under difficult circumstances, and I look forward to seeing her in new robes in October.

There are plenty of shows where Megan Kelly's nostrils flared, eyes bugged out, while she screamed at a guest, because she did not like the response she got from them

Now the judge has an infamous temper?

This is the first I've heard of it... and I follow this political stuff pretty closely.

Who, other than a few freaks at Fox-Noise have mentioned or outlined Sotomayor's alleged 'bad temper'??

      Earth to Megyn Kelly,

Just because something is made up out of thin air on your own station, does not give it credibility of fact nor makes something... 'infamous'...

Maybe Megan assumes Sotomayor has a hot, Puerto Rican temper...because you know how hot-tempered and undisciplined those minorities are. Good thing isn't African American...Megan might accuse her of carrying a razor. <sarcasm>

MMFA cropped Kelly's full comments. She went on to wonder aloud, "Will her temper, like a spicy taquito, give the senators indigestion? Or will she charm and intoxicate the committee, like a refreshing piƱa colada?"

          (No, not really.)

That came up early on but was dropped when someone brought up Scalia's temper. It's just those two and it's not really even temper. It's just the way judges are.

Yea she has a horrible temper, just like Franken and Obama, and pretty much anyone else the right disagrees with.

See thing is the GOP would love to NOT vote in Sotomayor but they cant because you see the thing is when she gets angry she gets big and green and smashes things...same thing happens to President Obama which is why many republicans vote for "his" (read democaratic) bills In their hearts they know the bills are bad for the country but they cant risk him tossing them out a window....

In fact the only reason the American People voted Democrat in the last election is because Republicans nobley sacrificed their power to protect us from this race of Hulk's pretending to be human Democrat's

Apparently Sotomayor was testy with a government lawyer after a Canadian man, Maher Arar, with Syrian citizenship, was deported to Syria. (http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2009/05/sonia_sotomayor_court_tv.html) There's also a long wikipedia article about his case.

I would hazard to guess, that most of the folks on here don't know each other outside of this forum. For example, Latanza's name, I've seen before, I don't know him. Don't know his situations, and don't know how I could help him. And someone suggested contacting the FBI or Homeland Security.

          What else could we do?

Show some concern for your fellow liberal. Is that too much to ask? It's obvious he/she is scared! At least Easytrw didn't excoriate him/her for his/her use of capitol letters as he did above. Liberals are supposed to exhibit compassion for their fellow human being when they are in trouble. Some comforting expressions or depictions of GW or Karl Rove experiencing excruciating pain just might turn that frown, upside down!

Being smart enough to recognize genuine trouble is an important asset that liberals possess, not like those who sensed the impending doom from the significant quanitites of uranium that Hussein was seeking. If Latanza wants help, I suggest posting to a conservative blog where a plethora of paranoid chicken littles can begin a campaign to bomb Libya based on that e-mail.

And here's a clue, puppie(sic) - Despite your elevated self-esteem, nobody who posts here is important or powerful enough to warrant a $20k assassination contract.

Umm, unless you've been in a coma since the internet arrived on the scene, this sounds like a shakedown scheme in order for someone to get some money from this guy. I highly doubt that this threat is real. If it is, bring it to the police. They can track down the IP address very easily, find out where the e-mail originated from (I doubt from anywhere near where the subject lives), and then tell him yay, or nea he's in potential danger, again, most likely, very highly, he's not.

I'm also more than willing to bet if he wrote back this guy who has been hired to "kill" him, and said, I don't have $20,000, but I have $5000, I'm sure the person writing the e-mail would take it.

This is such a bogus scam, it smells of being badly constructed phishing scam as happens with the e-mail. And, as always, Snopes.com is already on to this one:

[url=http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/hitman.asp]Hitman NOT out to get you...url]

So I'm sure, like a good conservative, you can go back to hide under your bed and be scared of everything you see, and or hear. I mean, holy crap, this took me all of 1 minute to find out about this scam. This is just like the good old Nigerian scam, which is why probably nobody really gave it a second thought.

I remember years ago about a story of a police officer who "discovered" a bomb on a bus. He dutifully reported the device, assisted in defusing the situation and was hailed as a hero only later to find out it was he who put the bomb on the bus! Could be Latanza "found" this "bomb" on his/her email! Liberals do funny things to get attention.

I never said the police officer who "found" the bomb was a liberal. You inferred that from my observation of Latanza. You missed the point of the story. The point of the story, since you missed it the first time, is that people will concoct stories to engraciate themselves(Latanza). I'm certain Latanza is a liberal but have no idea whether the police officer was a liberal. You jumped to a conclusion that was not made!

You might want to go back an re-read what harley and I wrote and re-think your "inference" response. Try to find the part where we indicated that we had inferred anything other than you thought liberals did funny things for attention. I might consider a retraction, or correction if I was you.

"Liberals do funny things to get attention."

The cop on the bus was liberal? I'm sure you can find the original news coverage of this story so you'll be able to cite it and prove that there's a connection to your generalization about liberals.

But while you're tracking down the details about the bomb on the bus story, I'll recount an equally entertaining tale. It's about a McCain campaigner in Pennsylvania who told the police that a black man had mugged her, but then half way through the mugging the mugger decided to teach her a lesson for being a McCain supporter by carving a backwards letter 'B' into her cheek. Conservative media outlets ran with the story, citing it as an example of the violent lengths to which Obama supports would go to intimidate decent upstanding white McCain supporters.

Conservatives do the darnedest things to get attention, don't they?

I never said the cop was a liberal. You, and others, inferred that. This is the problem with communication. This website dedicates itself to correcting information the msm puts out on a daily basis. Most of the comments on this webpage are filled with contrived outrage, complete with expletives, colorfully worded insults and a general theme of simmering anger. It's a daily waiting game for the ration of red meat. Once delivered, the tournaments begin, quickly losing sight of reason and temperment and replacing them with a vile outpouring of judgmental sanctimony. It's easier to believe I said something that can be devoured and spit out during the feeding frenzy rather than to read what I said. I got into the habit of reading the posts before reading the screen names, then draw my conclusions of what was written based on what was written, not the author.

I never claimed that you said the cop was liberal. I only asked. This isn't a question of inference. This is about coherence. If your point was that "[l]iberals do funny things to get attention" then maybe you should have chosen an example that actually supported your position.

BUT TODAY I'VE GOT A DIFFERENT DEAL IN MIND. I'LL PAY YOU $10,000USD IF YOU'LL TRY NOT TO POST THE SPAM YOU RECEIVE TO THE FORUM OF A MEDIA CRITICISM WEBSITE. I figger, $5000.00 is a perty good investment if my return is 8 million. I'm glad they contacted me first! And Hillary thought $100,000.00 return on her $1000.00 investment was a good deal.
