But of course a racist would automatically see another racists remark being more racists than one that is not!

Glad to see Jeff Christie is still hard at work being the well paid pig he is!

"Wise latina" is NOT a racist comment- its a NYC comment! LOL I grew up in NYC and just about EVERY family has a "wise *insert any race* woman in their family. Bensonhurst is fill with "wise Italian Grand Mothers", "Big Momma up in Harlem is wise", oh yeah I can not forget the "Wise Asian mother" down in China Town. Wise _____ woman is a common old school phrase in NYC. The city is simply one big ol' melting pot of WISE WOMEN!

In what context would calling someone Macaca not be offensive?

Not context, company. As in the company you keep, or more specifically, the company republicans keep.

Don't mind him, it's our little conservative troll. Ya know, the one who never found a racist remark he didn't like?

I don't mind. I find it rather funny. It always seems like the most innocent remarks get a thumbs down.

Gimme a break, Rush... Allen's remarks were racist; Sotomayor's were not. Allen hurled a racial slur at someone who considered the enemy; Sotomayor merely stated that she hoped a person of her background could more often reach the right conclusion on certain matters than a white man without the benefit of her life experience. Allen's remarks were intended to offend; Sotomayor's were not.

Rush, maybe you've been working too hard and need a break. When was the last time you had a day off? Uhhh...nevermind.

I see some barely sentient person has gone through and down a "thumbs down" on each comment so far (hope I get one, too!), but hasn't got the nerve to actually say why they disagree.

Behold the neocon mindset at work.

At least this neocons mind is working. He was told to do this so it is done.
What was the old comment "A NeoCons, mind is a terrible thing to waste".

I'll hit save and then out thumbs down the troll.

Well, you wouldn't want to waste such a scarce resource!

            BTW...

A cannibal friend of mine was recently down at the delacatessen buying brains. He saw liberal's brains being sold for $1 a pound and conservtaive's brains being sold for $50 a pound. Outraged, he asked why he should have to pay $50 a pound for a conservative's brains. The shopkeep shot back, "Do you have any indea how many conservatives I have to kill to get a pound of brians?!"

Sorry for the dumb question, but what were Allen's "macaca" comments that Rush is talking about?

It's a reference to an instance during a close re-election battle, in which he ridiculed an Indian-American as a "macaca," a racial slur. This was widely considered the signature faux pas of the 2006 campaign, essentially sealing his defeat.

See Wiki's definition and, more specifically, this link.

Oh, and by the BTW: it was a very reasonable question, not dumb at all.

      Welcome to Planet Wingnut . . .

Where a federal judge and Supreme Court nominee referring to herself in the third person as "wise" is "much worse" than a US Senator using a racial epithet to refer to someone else . . .

Rush is so right. I was cut off by a cab driver this morning and he was furious when I rolled down the window and called him a wise Latina.

On a serious note, and as already mentioned, odd that in Rush's pathetic world that being called a wise person of Latin origin is equal to being called a racial slur. What a fricking moron this man is and he's the brains of the party.

This is the best Rush can do? My god... he was gone for a full week, he could do better than this. His show is sliding downward hopefully to end as a whimper.

Good old Rush, it is nice to know that some things never change. It's all about T&A: "TITular head of the Republican Party,..." "bend over and grab our ankles..." "MaCACA".

Post Script: "He was so good, the main stream media had to rebut him."

If they ever do a skit on SNL about Rush, they won't have to make anything up.
