CNN's Phillips: "A lot of people would say" Alito "wasn't hammered like" Sotomayor has been over "wise Latina" remarks 

"Some" would ALSO say that NO male SCOTUS nominee in recent memory has been suggested to patronizing concern-trolling about his "temper" or "personal feelings" or various other ways of implying women possess no capacity for rational judgment.

Actually, no, not a lot of people "would say". A lot of people, including journalists, SHOULD say this to make people realize it's NO BIG DEAL!

I don't remember it being a thing at all. And there were lots of things I could, and did say about Alito, but his comment on race and how it affected him did not even cross my mind.
