Sotomayor actually said of her "wise Latina" speech and comments by former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, "I was trying to play on her words. My play fell flat. It was bad" [emphasis added].

      Tweety strikes again. I wonder if he was playing a driking game on set durig the hearings? Was his patented spittle dripping from his lower lip? I couldn't tell on the feed. Thanks. Who knew, Sotomayor has a sense of humor and was trying to make a joke? It fell flat, I guess she wont bump the always hilarious John Kerry tomorrow night at DC's Comedy Zone. I think Tweets decided not to run in PA because pollsters told him people would be afraid to attend any of his campaign events for fear of catching Swine Flu due to his slobbering speech. I won't be bumping Big John either I guess:-{

      Chris was just surprised that Judge Sotomayor did "NOT" stand behind what she said in her speech with the 'wise latino' comments, and I agree with him. But hey, I agree too with what Judge Sotomayor said today in that she did "NOT" mean for people to "misinterpret" what she meant when she said this way back when.

      Bottom line, the Republicans have made themselves appear as the 'white men' being out done by this 'wise latino woman' Judge Sotomayor who will be the next Supreme Court Justice because of her qualifications, experience and 80% backing from the American people. LOL

        It was so nice when tweety was gone. They really oughta cut his incompetent butt loose.

        He used to take five minutes to ask a yes/no question before talking over the answer. Now he takes ten.

      Well, Tweety, she knew that if she didn't talk down to her audience a little bit, you wouldn't be able to understand her.

      And you proved her correct.
