"Anchorman"? O'Really sees himself as an anchorman?

Bill - News flash: You're a deposed entertainment gossip show host who has moved on to spouting ridiculous anit-left talking points in order to draw and keep lemming viewers. Bill, if you're an anchor, it's on the progress of our society, dragging to the bottom all your viewers.

I'd like to know what was on the rest of that clip, but my brain keeps fritzing out every time I hear him try to imply he's an anchorman.

Even Ron Burgundy is a bigger man than this crusty old anchor.

Knowing he's ignorant makes Billo turn mean to try to hide it.

            He's failing miserably.

"O'Really sees himself as an anchorman?"

hasnt he identified himself as a journalist or commentator in the past? clearly, he has a serious identity crisis.

He was trying to foment a cat fight and did not get one. Just the opposite!

Poor Billy, Poor Lindsay, Poor Beauregard. Their usual patronizing redneck tricks are just not working today. No reducing the little lady to meltdown or tears with false accusations of "personality problems," nobody buying the "empathy is teh e-vil" trope, and everybody smells the fear of loss of privilege on the white men.

Sigh! The magic of misogyny is gone. How oh how will they feed their patriarchal nucular families now?

I like how Megyn managed to call BullyO out for having a temper. I wonder how that went over after the camera went off and the lights dimmed?

Amazing to me that this site constantly harangues O'Reilly as being one-sided, unfair, etc, etc. Yet when there is clear evidence that he does in fact present fairness to an issue that people can only seem to focus on the fact that he referred to himself as an anchorman.

The fact that O'Reilly is capable of reasoned discourse makes his bullying all the more egregious.

I'll be frank about it. I dislike the man. I dislike him, not out of prejudice, but judgment. I dislike his politics, his crudeness, and his bigotry. I could dislike his politics without disliking him, but his bullying and bigotry, make that impossible. As an Irish American who knows full well what bigotry his forbears endured, both here and across the Pond, I feel shamed that Bill and many of my ethnic group have forgotten their history and "become white," in Ignatieff's phrasing, taking on board all the worst attributes of O'Reilly's beloved "white male power structure."

It happens all the time, kydem09. It is the only way that the point of view that O'Reilly is as bad as some other hosts for presenting only one side of an issue can be preserved. But that is not the truth.

Of course, this is Media Matters. We aren't devoted to truth here, only in presenting one side of the story (conservative mis-information only).

The interesting part is that the goal of MM, to post "rapid-response items as well as longer research and analytic reports documenting conservative misinformation throughout the media", doesn't cover this post. This post highlights conservative non-misinformation in the media.

So apparently, not only conservative misinformation, but also conservative non-misinformation is reported here and then mindlessly ridiculed by the echo chamber.

        Fail.

I wonder if Graham went to all the other Appellate Court Justices to see what comments they received?

Rating judges is a non-binding, non-official thing that Bar Association does which is not meant for official publication nor is it supposed to help determine if someone is qualified to go to a higher court. It was originally intended to give a forum to frustrated lawyers but not meant to be used to punish judges.

One judge who received the highest rating for that year was interviewed about his rating and he dismissed it out of hand and said that he would prefer to have respect in his courtroom than any bar association personality contest. If any lawyer has a problem with a judge, they should follow procedures that are in place to deal with those issues and not to air their grievances in an unprofessional rating system.
