      Real hesitant to call him a socialist...Did he just imply that capitalists are not intellectuals? That would explain so much, lol.

        Actually, he just said capitalists are not intellectuals.

        Why do you hate capitalism, sir? Why do you hate America?

      Varney's a moron. I'm trying to restrain my outrage that anyone gave this idiot a forum to express his stupidity.

      "...completely get rid of the Reagan revolution and all the prosperity it conferred upon middle America for the last generation."

      Oh my. First of all, what does this Fox anchor from Britain know about how the Reagan revolution affected middle America? It was during Reagan's administration that I was homeless for the first time. His policies were very pleasant and helpful if you were in the top 5% economically. Reagan made more millionaires than any president before him. He also made more homeless people than any president before him, because there is a cost to making all the wealth run uphill that way. I for one will be ecstatic to do away with Laffer economic theory and the Reagan 'revolution'. As for pointing to France as an example, you have to wonder if Thompson was enjoying some 'freedom fries' while extolling the virtues of French economic policy.

        What prosperity? The reagan revolution brought about buying off companies and selling them off piecemeal coupled with job losses. E-Systems was a victim of the reagan revolution.

          My point exactly, snoopy. Only about 2% of Americans were in a position to benefit from Reagan's 'prosperity'.

      . . . and you're faling miserably, Stu.

      Restraining your INTELLIGENCE, on the other hand, you're quite adept at . . .

      {And BTW, it seems Fred "Sleepy" Thompson has come down in the world considerably . . . He's gone from being a US Senator/movie star to finishing behind Mitt Romney in the GOP presidential race and a hack radio talking head . . . not even Dick Wolf wants him around anymore. Sad.}

      Well, just try a little more, you sop milk toast jerk.
      Fred Thompson, falling so hard.
      Reagan made prosperity? I never received any prosperity.
      I'm so far down the poverty hole that I wouldn't know this "prosperity" he speaks of.
      Give English people a bad name, Varney does.

      When he finally decided to run for president, I bet Fred never thought he's wind up talking to some twit on a third-rate radio show. What a long fall from movies and a TV series.
